The University of Louisville is a complete and total disgrace to the people of the city of Louisville and to the citizens of the state of Kentucky. In the same week the NCAA infractions committee as well as the auditor for the State of Kentucky have been forced to unleash their wrath on that school for illegal and unethical behavior.

From the UofL Foundation, its previous president James Ramsey stealing millions...on down to the Athletic Department under the leadership of Tom Jurich....every single one of them is immersed in scandal.

Is there anyone in control there? How do you allow Tom Jurich to remain as the athletics director after being forced to vacate 108 wins, 2 F's and a National Championship. How do they keep Pitino in charge after presiding over the most disgusting sex scandal in NCAA basketball history?

To some of their fans credit there have been a growing minority who are fed up. Hopefully more will understand how rogue their university has become....under the leadership of Ramsey and Jurich.

Ramsey is gone. UofL should do the right thing. Fire Tom Jurich and clean house in the basketball program. That is the only way they can begin to rebuild their credibility.

Imo the damage is done. They will go into defense mode and try and hold what they can together, including retaining Pitino and Jurich. Firing them would eventually lead to other top guys in those positions to stay away. It's not ethical, but if Louisville wants to remain competative (for what it's worth) their only option is to double down and accept their reputation and move on.

What Louisville did was gamble. The national media largely ignores Louisville, and the local media was in their back pocket. Like Rick, their ego became unstoppable. They gambled the odds to become relevant and lost.

I can't think of any...but here in Louisville, it's obvious that U of L has a win at all cost mentality and there aren't a lot of U of L people that really care what goes on there...as long as they win. And that goes for the local media as well!!

Hands down, the slimiest and most corrupt school of all NCAA member schools.
No morals....no ethics....no shame....no remorse....no repercussions for egregious behaviors....
and a fan base that is A.O.K with all of it.

I'm sure UL learned its tricks from UNC thanks to the UNCheat grad Ramsey. Reached out to his rams club buddies to get all the skinny about how to sliver and squirm through NCAA Rules and Gov. Laws.

The main culprit in all of this Is Tom "Turtle Neck" Jurich. He doesn't care how he wins, cheat or whatever, just win. Until U of L gets the Balls to fire him, the problem will remain.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

Bingo

I get the university's position, but the fans? It's just disgusting

After seeing the shenanigans between Lord Turtleneck and Ramsey it seems he is more powerful that I thought.

i don't understand why the tard fans are all upset....I mean they got exactly what they asked for....spintino only got a 5 game suspension, they have to pay back the ncaa I mean with all money they hide that shouldn't be a problem, and mostly they didn't want any more bans from post season as it would hurt players that didn't have anything to do with it....so the ncaa said your right so vacate all wins from the games your ineligible players played whoops that means your banner too....aw too bad but this is what you wanted now you don't like it......well have fun at your taking the banner down ceremony...you can invite the team and players that caused all this there to attend. ps: appeal all ya want....but you aren't going to win this one....:cool2:

UNCheat. I would argue their depravity is actually worse because it hid behind "Afro Studies" to prevent any criticism, scrutiny or prying eyes. (Only a racist would malign our efforts to lift up young black men and teach them their history blah blah blah...)

I agree that this is the reason that UNC's scandal is more difficult to "understand" and the need to virtue-signal prevents a segment of the population from criticizing the motivation for doing it.

LilBrothel OTOH has handed the NCAA a very simple scandal to hammer. Prostitution and parties for recruits AND existing players. Lets not forget that there were actual players involved too.

What you realize from reading their boards is that 99% of them have never taken a single credit hour at the university. And that is one of ul's big problems. They put everything (corruption, unethical decisions, etc) into athletics so that they could get into a p5 conference. Well they got there, now they will lose their accreditation and soon their campus will be university of Kentucky west.

The fish rots from the head. That is true at UofL. Ramsey and Jurich are the rot. They do not remove the stench of the rot unless and until they send Tom Jurich off. Pitino too. They do not live down their corruption by fighting in the courts. Whether their Foundation scandal or this. They either are an institution that values its reputation or it is a sham cover for a rogue athletics department.

Its pretty common to realize that they are a small fish and easy for the NCAA to crush. That happened today. They can either learn that they are a little "city" fish and move forward thumbing their noses at the legit programs....or they can look very hard in the mirror, swallow hard, and clean house.

UL and UNC are bad--but Pennstate is now and forever a shit stain along with their shitty fans.

But U of L won't...because UL fans think Old Tom is great!

I've been saying for some time that Jurich is the one that should be ultimately held responsible. He's the one that re-hired Petrino, knowing his character and issues. He's the one that kept Pitino after the Sypher incident. (If that didn't break the university morality code, I don't know what would qualify.) HE is the one that has nurtured and fostered the atmosphere of corruption in that cesspool of a sports department.
