Is Penny a bad coach?

I think he’s a great coach because they won the NIT championship a few years ago. Seriously though he’s just a AAU coach that now has a college job.
I don't think he's bad honestly. They won at Clemson earlier. Beat UCONN. I think he's adapted pretty good to the college game. His first couple of years he didn't look like he did. Looks better now imo.
I’m going to say that Penny is becoming a better coach than when he started 7yrs ago. He has been around a lot of good coaches and has finally found his style of play and the right type of player.
I actually think he is developing into a solid coach. It's not like the wheels are falling off like with Stackhouse, Ewing or something like that. They lost today but they are ranked #21 and just beat Clemson and Virginia on the road.
Yeah I agree, I am not sure if he’s gotten used to the game and improved, or if the forced firing of his old staff has now helped him. I find it strange he gets an all new staff and they suddenly look competent. I’m gonna lean with that being a huge factor in this recent success.
