Is McClain really RB2?

Well, it's how he practices and what coaches see, not what we fans see on TV. If he's earned number 2, than he's earned it.
I think he runs harder than Smoke but that isn’t saying much.
His career ypc has to be in the 2 range. Just never picks up any yardage when we give him the ball. Does have good hands the few times we've thrown to him. But he gives us almost nothing on the ground.

Definitely got good hands. Levis threw a dart and he made a nice catch and run. He's sort of like Smoke - will make good yardage if there's a hole but won't run through many tackles like CRod.
Not sure we have a true RB1 on the roster after Rodriguez graduates, though.

RB room…kinda concerning for next year…after CRod and smoke there seems to be a HUGE drop off
He had a couple of good runs in the 3rd when CRod was catching his breath.
1/2 of next years “class” might be transfers. Ol, rb, qb.
