Cal Sucks!!
I see post after post wanting this one, wanting that one. Why? We will get what we get, Cal has brought in some of the best players in the history of Kentucky Basketball year after year. The only year we were down was the result of an injury. Have you not learned a thing in Cal's tenure, he will put a great product on the floor. We are never going to win a championship every year, it is not going to happen. Duke was far from being the best team this year but they won. UCONN was not the best team last year but they won. In 1998 we were not the best team but we won, be happy with the players we get and trust the coaches to coach them up to a championship. It may or may not happen but I trust Cal and his staff.

You make too much sense. If you don't stop, it will kill all the complaining and whining that goes on here.

Converse is one thing, acting like the sky is falling is another. I agree with the op.

Great post Sir!!

Next year's team will be just fine. As long as Cal is our coach, UK will be in the hunt for a title. I am amused at the desperation in some of the posts over the past few weeks. Get a life. Seriously.

1. In 2010, it could be argued that we were one reliable three point shooter away from advancing past the Final 8 to a possible championship. Missing Xavier Henry the Summer before was key, as was losing Jodie Meeks late to the pros after the recruiting cupboards were bare.

2. In 2011, we didn't have a guard quick enough to contain Kemba Walker, who pretty much beat us single-handedly. We basically had two guards on the roster who played all entire season, and neither of those guys were great defenders. Get past UConn, and we would have won it all.

3. In 2013, one solid backup point guard would probably have been enough to get us to the NCAA Tournament and keep the season from being a complete disaster.

4. Imagine 2014 with Wiggins in the lineup.

Without Grayson Allen - who had been mostly an afterthought all season - Duke loses to Wisconsin in the Championship game.

Just one player can make the difference in a successful season. That's what makes basketball recruiting so interesting to me. I follow it because it's fun, not because I question Cal or just want something to worry about.

I see post after post, crying about this thread, crying about that one. Why? We get what we get. The internet has brought in some of the worst posters in history year after year. The only year it improved recently was after we won a championship. Have you not learned a thing in your 8000+ post tenure, any season not ending in a championship will put out a terrible product. We are never going to have quality threads day after day, it's not going to happen. Be happy with the quality threads we do get and trust in the mods to clean up the repetitive ones. It may or may not happen, but making a crying thread about it isn't going to make things any better.

Hey, the sky is falling. We've been to four of the last five Final Fours, we have the #1 recruiting class in America, and Cal is staying.

Crying, no don't think so. I have learned a lot in 8000 post, most of yours ingored as they only bash others. Thanks for bringing it to my attention that I had taken you off ignore. I will attend to that shortly.

Which is why I laugh at people who act like Cal has to get the "best of the best" to have a shot next year. Mulder could be our Allen...although he will be more in the convo all season than Allen. And to be fair, Allen had some huge games at times during the season, he was just overshadowed.

I just think it's silly that you can't discuss anything without it being an extreme.

If you say you want Newman or Brown, you don't trust Cal's judgement?
If you're "worried" we may not get any more stud recruits, the sky is falling?

It's a message board. We talk about things. Recruiting being one of the most common things we talk about, when it's not looking good, we talk about that.

Rack

The people who just say "Trust in Cal!"...like yeah, guy has been awesome, but why are you even here? What is there to talk about?

This. If people don't like the posts, skip them. Pretty simple. Many people...many views.
