I know the tougher games on their schedule are yet to be played. But they are murdering people and looking good doing it. Plus, there’s no 2021/2022 Georgia out there right now.

Michigan and TOSUCK will probably be in the playoff this year.

Big 10 has passed SEC in TV power dollars.

ESPN contract signaled the fall of the SEC from TV viewer dominance and media hype.

Maybe, but if Michigan does win Harbaugh heads off to the NFL, maybe anyway. Lincoln Riley will also go to the NFL at season's end. At least two big coaching jobs will come open.

I think anyone coach with any NFL options will be taking them anymore. Between every player on the current roster, high school and the portal who wants to recruit 150 players every single year?

You could be right. Today a coach has to recruit high school kids, the portal and his current roster. There are agents, contacting players on team A asking them if they would consider transferring to school B for this amount of NIL.

And if a coach loses a couple of games fans are calling for his firing. Of course that last part won't change, but the recruiting part will. NFL has some rules, college football does not.

Toughest opponent they’ve played thus far is Minnesota. Cupcake this week, gotta go to Penn St and then the OSU game which will decide whether they go to playoffs or the Alamo Bowl. He’s a cheating sob, arrogant as hell, I’d cheer for Louisville against him. Walks around like his shit don’t stink. Dick as a pro coach and even bigger dick in college.

Best chance since Clemson of somebody winning it other than a SEC team. Ga. is only chance for SEC and they have flaws. I do think Michigan is better than Ohio State.

A good big ten team is basically guaranteed a spot. They literally have 2-3 games against good teams. Win those and you're in.

Agree too that Georgia is great but down this year. Relying on the passing game instead of the elite physical specimens on d

I think Michigan is still not better than Georgia. Last year's semifinal was a "looking past it" moment for the Bulldogs. I don't think they'll take another semifinal lightly, if they make the playoff.

I cannot argue with that I know GA. has more highly rated players than Michigan, but, I still think GA. Is working out some issues. By playoff time that may be resolved.

Yeah, I don't know about this. If your signs are getting stolen by someone who simply bought ticket, then maybe you need to get better signs. This isn't Jerry Reed stealing Henry Winkler's playbook.

Edit : Sorry, meant to respond to the post about scouting games.

He was “allegedly” filming the teams signals on his smart phone. That’s a little different than just buying a ticket to watch the game.

I read he purchased tickets to over 30 games of teams who were playoff contenders. The tickets were always across the field from the team they wanted to film and people in the seats were witnessed videoing the teams with cell phones. Some games he used the tickets and other games he had another person go. It is pretty obvious that it wasn't a coincidence and it will be hard for Harbaugh to say he didn't know anything about it. Why would a staffer do it on his own and not pass along the information he had obtained to other coaches?

Right? Buy a ticket and watch to your heart's content, I say. It would be stupid not to do it.

Ha! I responded anyway. Excellent movie reference btw

Again, if it's against the rules, it's against the rules, but otherwise... if anybody would be able to do that, you need to change your signals up.

Why would it be hard to say? Staffers do LOTS of things without a Head Coach knowing about it. Maybe said staffer just likes good football and has to go watch other teams to get his fill? Maybe he secretly hates JH and did this to get him fired...? You don't know. You don't know. Maybe he's a sign-o-phile...? Ever consider that?

Lol. He's probably toast, but good luck getting Michigan to fire him. Unless of course they have a better coach dying to take over

I don't know why the NCAA is acting like they care. They just let Kansas off with a slap on the wrist for paying players through Adidas and now they are going to act like they will drop the hammer for stealing signs? 😂😂

Also, then gets to go back home and sync up plays to signals and rewatch tape 10 times and make charts. There's a difference between stealing signals during game and this.

I wouldn't want a rule where offense has to announce what play they are going to run before they hike. And I don't want dumb 19 year Olds having to learn new signals before every game. This seems like a perfectly fine rule for enjoyment of game. I hope they toss the book at Michigan.

I had no idea. I assumed every single team had people scouting games for them. Had no clue whatsoever that scouting an opponent was against the rules. Wow
In 1980 maybe, but in 2023 why would you waste resources and time on something you can pull up on your TV? Oh yeah, maybe the TV clip isn't focused on the guy sending the play into the game. This has a lot of stink all over it .

The TV is rarely focused on the entire play. Watch a replay of a game for a team you don't care about and pay attention to camera angles. They RARELY if ever show the whole play during the game. It's mostly isolations and they switch between them. It's not at all the same as being there or seeing the whole field.

There is no coincidence that all reports are that this started in the 2021 season and his record looks like this:

2015 - 2020: 49-22/34-16
2021 - 2023: 30-3/22-1

Weird. I thought he just went from burned out on alcohol to genius all of a sudden. It gave so many college graduates hope....

that was last year, this year is two totally different teams, especially on the Georgia side of the equation. I will never doubt Georgia because they should have lost to OSU last year and some how pulled it out, but I do think Michigan is a real threat this season for all those wanting to compete for a title

2 totally different conferences, still.

I personally don't see anything wrong with him buying a ticket and attending. GHSA gives every coach in the state a pass to any scantioned GHSA event, well gives is a stretch, it sells them to anyone a system wants to buy one for. I am guessing every other state does something similar. Now in the age of cell phones there could be rules to govern that but they have been adopted since I retired.

But supposedly the NCAAZ adapted this policy because it cut down on travel, yet here we are with entire athletic programs traveling across the country for conference games/matches/meets.
