Is It me or did Cal figure out roster construction before Coach K

When they signed the group with Zion it looked like they just got as many top ranked guys as possible despite the fact 3 we’re basically sf who weren’t great shooters. The result was 3 guys at their best doing the same thing and vulnerable defense and early tournament loss. They did same thing with Bagley getting him after they had Carter. Next year they have 4 elite guys but two are best at center and two are sf best at attacking the rim who are suspect shooters. It looks like an old Cal team big and long no shooters and guys who will struggle guarding their positions. Total opposite of what everyone else is doing with 3 guards and small ball four. Looking at their top for Signees I see two centers and two small ball fours in most teams. Maybe they will make it work letting Lively guard the 4 but that takes him away as a rim protector. I see lots of zone. They will be too talented not to win a lot of games but I could definitely see another historical highly ranked class that disappoints. You would just hate to see it in his first year.

UCF had Zibo’s Duke team dead to rights in the 2nd round!! They weren’t much of a team by March playing 3 on 5 and Cam Reddish was a big disappointment.
