Our shooting should be substantially better than 2015, so I feel like everything from 1-3 will be marginally better. Won't be able to really get a feel for who was better at each position until after the season, though. WCS and KAT have no equals on this squad, IMO, like how there was no Oweh on 2015's roster. Could be wrong about the bigs depending on how Jelavic and JQ do as well as how big a jump Garrison makes.

Just tough to say. I have to give a slight edge to 2015 talent-wise. Roster composition, though, I like this year's squad better. Much better. We won't have anyone playing out of position this year (barring any cataclysmic injury bugs).

Love it and thanks for posting this. Really wanted to see these two teams laid out head to head like this. IMO it’s all about the big man. If JQ hits the ground running this team could end up being historically good.

From a pure individual talent level 2015 blows this team away, IMO. JQ over Lyles is the only no brainer for this year's squad to me, though Lyles has ended up better than I expected in the NBA and stuck around for a while.

Poythress only played what 8 games. Mo plays more than 8 games it’s this year advantage.

Lyles and Quantice could be a push if Jayden comes out ready to go 100%.

Kam shot 46% from 3 and Lee couldn’t really score unless he caught a lob.

Jasper could have the same scoring impact Booker did I mean they were highly rated 5 star shooters.

I mean Hawkins and Willis vs 4 players.

I think 2015 is better but 2026 could be really good if a few things go our way and were due.

Yeah but in your lil fantasy I'm assuming Poy plays in the game.

Disagree about WCS having no equal. if JQ is healthy, he is projected to be every bit the defender and rim protector WCS was and potentially more. In WCS All-American year, he only averaged 8.9 PPG, 6.5 Reb, 1.7 Blocks and 1.2 steals. JQ as a freshman averaged 9.4 pts. 7.9 Reb, 2.6 blocks and 1.1 steals. So practically better than WCS across the board. I think the OP's list should have paired WCS with JQ and Lyles with Jelavic. Probably would be the better comparisons. KAT though, I agree, he has no equal on this team. Garrison is the closest comparison, but KAT runs away with that one. As for the overall rosters, arguments could be made for either side at just about most of those comparisons. I don't see Jasper turning out to be the kind of Pro Booker is, but that's not what's being debated.

The reason I listed with a counterpart
The Harrison twins were 6’6” 210lbs plus kinda like a Oweh and Aberdeen.

Ulis the smaller pg Booker the shooter kinda like Lowe and Jasper will be.

Poy a type of glue guy pretty much like Mo will be doesn’t do one thing special but does a lot of little things good. KAT and Garrison are the exact same size.

I’ll switch WCS and Quantice although Willie is a little bigger both are great rim protectors. Lyles and Jelavic are both stretch 4’s who are gonna be matchup nightmares.

Dakari and Lee are going to be about like Moreno and Kam. Dakari like Moreno fundamentally sound centers and Kam is probably a better offense threat then Lee.

Hawkins and Willis were smaller role players on that team. Chandler, Noah, Hawthorne and possibly Potter could play bigger roles on this team.
