This right here.Big variable is who his quarterback is next 2 years,
Crabtree never became a star but he made like 60 million and played for 11 years. I wouldn’t call that a flame outWho knows? I thought Michael Crabtree was gonna be an NFL star and I couldn’t tell you if he’s still playing or not.
Some college star players flame out in the NFL, some unknowns are NFL stars
I have to disagree on this. We tend to give speed the top billing with WR but the truth is great hands and great route running are more important. Dane runs around a 4.5 which is Micheal Irvin speed. He's 6'3" with great hands. He runs great routes. Jerry Rice was straight up slow but great hands and route running. All comes down to his 40 and the fit with the NFL team that picks him. He doesn't jump off the screen with speed but he definitely isn't slow.

I'm not sure about him being a star, too many variables, but I think he'll have a long career.
Jerry Rice was a 4.7. Skill and size make up for a lot.I don't think you actually disagree. Does his speed jump off the screen? Do you agree there is a point where route running won't make up for speed?
If he runs a 4.5 he will have no issue at all. I'm curious if that's what he runs or if it's close to or even a 4.6. even if it's right at 4.6, I think he finds a role.
He has the talent but the big question for me is his durability.Once he’s got some weight on him, I think he’s on his way.

Not really. The main issue is skill, not speed.Iirc he was 4.65. either way it was 30 years ago. Major difference
