Is Clappy saving his job and due for another extension?

I could see a scenario where IU fired Crean and he's picked up by WKU (where he was once an assistant coach).

IU is a product of an easy schedule, ranked 162, and there remaining schedule is set up that they play Michigan, Maryland, Michigan St, Purdue, once. They play Iowa twice. With this scheduling gift they may win the Big Ten and another set of rings. That said, it clouds Clappy's deficiencies as a average coach, and it will quiet the buyout talks a lot of the fans have been clamoring about, at least a while longer.

We can only hope lol !!! Just think Of Clappy for another ten years at Inbred University !!! They may have to drop down to division ll by then !! In a perfect world IU would keep clappy, UNCheat would get the death penalty and Uof Smell would get three years of no NCAA, and lose four scholarships a year for the next three and Pitino and Tommy Turtleneck would be gone !!!!!

Thanks for the schedule evaluation. I am totally surprised with all the dismissal of players, player issues, and basically only mid tier recruiting, and his suspect game coaching, that they are in current position.
Frankly I would have lost a lot of money if I was a betting man. Perhaps the schedule anomaly will even out with some higher ratesd competition coming up, but it is really not a very tough rest of the way.

IU would be crazy to remove him. They are playing well this year and its because of the coaching those kids are getting.
Crean could turn sand into water....I hope the admin sees him that way for a lot longer.

And I wouldn't expect us to play them. Cal gains nothing by playing them.

His best coaching job of his tenure. Kicking ass without his start shooting guard. IU better pony up before they lose him.
It hurt to type this.

Great offensive team and better defensively w/o Blackmon. No doubt he saved his job which is awesome.

Besides their SOS of 162, their RPI is now at #46, right between #41 Alabama and #51 Vanderbilt. And yet they're undefeated in the vaunted B1G (by the way, what a stupid conference name).

Go Clappy, go! Get that second round exit in the NCAA T and hang another banner, and see what you've got next year with a pitiful recruiting class and losing Ferrell and Bryant.

Some of us have been trying to tell the IU fans how lucky they are to have CTC in Bloomington. The MAN is getting it done and pulling that BB program out of the dumpster!

I thought IU was cooked after they got blasted by Duke and then lost Blackmon for the season. The true test for them is coming up, that is when they play, Iowa (twice) Maryland, Michigan St,. Michigan and Purdue. If they come out of that stretch still holding on to the top spot in the Big Ten, I will give them their due. I will say this, they are putting up some points.

This is the most devious punishment anyone could have devised against them , not good enough to do anything and not bad enough to do anything . We live in golden times people , rejoice .
