...or does he go after one more player? Coach Barbee seemed to indicate Cal is looking to add at least 1, if not 2 more players. Now that Murray has committed (boy, that feels good to type) is Cal done, or do you think he goes after another big?

I would imagine he's done. Lets get ready to roll next year, should be really fun with a 3 guard lineup and two really athletic frontcourt players at all times. Completely different look from last 3 years and I'm really excited to see it. Might actually be the first time we ever see the DDMO at Kentucky.

I think he's done. We've got Winyard coming in December. I think that's enough. If we get anymore we'll wind up platooning again. I'd really not in favor of that.

We are a little thin up front but as long as we avoid injuries we will be fine. I personally hope (and actually believe) that Thon Maker is 100% out of the picture for the Cats. I don't know why and it's completely unfair of me, but I think everything about that guy spells trouble/problems. Let him go somewhere else for the year and live with what we have (which is a hell of a roster, btw).

He has a solid 7 man rotation, Winyard is gravy at this point..he's done with this class, doesn't want to take up spots from 2016 class which will be another monster haul.

I hope he is done. As was mentioned earlier he has a solid 7 man rotation and he will probably use an 8th man occasionally. This team is set up perfectly for what it takes to win in March with great guard play.

I wonder if he goes after the kid from St. Johns that is transferring? Obeka or however you spell it. Was a great rim protector. I know he doesn't get to play until next year, but Cal likes shot blockers.

My guess is that he is done for this class. I would assume that unless Willis makes drastic strides in the off season, when Alex comes out of the game we will go with essentially a 4 guard lineup and Skal or Lee. This team next year will revolve around our guards and obviously Skal.

I am OK with this scenario. It still stings but Calhoun was right when he predicted at the beginning of the tournament that we would not win it last year because typically strong guard play wins it as opposed to post play. Next year we will fit that description perfectly, the Wisc loss still stings, but I feel that we will be a legit contender in March 2016 lead by three awesome ball-handling guards.

what about the big kid who was committed to VA tech or whoever that was, we were just talking about him last week?

I am not familiar with him. After LaGerald Vick (or whoever was the last of that bunch to commit elsewhere) I only paid attention to the Murray recruitment. Not because I was tired of being disappointed or any of that melodramatic behavior, but because I simply hadn't heard of any of the other guys being tossed around.

I know nothing about recruiting in regards to who is going where etc. I do follow recruiting just like I follow the top prospects in MLB because I like to know who the next big things are, regardless if they go to UK or not.

I think Cal is done for this class, but if he wants to add another body I fully support him. The St. John's player would be nice, but as already mentioned in this thread I am not going to be greedy.

I'm pretty sure he's done unless you are counting on Winyard coming in December as something still in progress. I don't think Cal every wants more than an 7 or 8 man rotation and he's got that now. Also there isn't really anything out there for this class that we would really want. I know there are still some transfers out there but we probably aren't interested and it would tie up schollys from next years class. I'm sure he's turned his efforts to the '16 class now.

I would think so. Seems to really be hitting the '16 and '17 classes hard. If Wynard comes in Dec and can give Cal 6-8 mins then I think UK will be fine in the frontcourt.

Maker is not 100% out of the picture for Kentucky. I will not predict Maker will play for Kentucky, but it would not be a complete shock. If anything, Murray's commitment slightly increases our chance for Maker. I say only slightly, because the dynamic between them is complicated.

We still need a big man.
Why? Because we have been three deep the last couple years. Any normal year especially before Cal the number one player/ big along with Poythress and Lee would be sufficient.

I'm excited to have a multi guard lineup for a change. cal can get back to what made him the it coach a little dribble drive

I've said it before, I would much rather have a 6'4 guard at the 3 spot than a 6'9 forward at the 3 spot.

What about the big guy recruit that was decomitting from Florida? What happened to him?

I don't think Cal wants another big.

We have enough depth with Labissiere, Poythress, Lee, and Wynyard.

Another player at this point is going to take a scholarship away from 2016.

I think Jason is spot on. Wynyard joins the team in Dec and provides front court depth. I don't think we are recruiting anyone else for 2015.

One thing that struck me after we signed Murray.....Malik who???

Two names that might get connected with UK are Paschal Chukwu and Kyle Washington. I doubt either have the skills to get much time on the floor at UK though, but Chukwu is a legit seven footer and Washington at 6'9. Both would be eligible to play in '15.

No to many issues on and off the court . More you read about him (if true) sounds like a UL player.

Dave, I think both are traditional transfers--meaning they'd have to sit out '15-16 season. Obekpa is eligible immediately if he graduates....which admittedly I've got no idea where he stands academically. He's an Our Savior kid--same school as Cheick Diallo. I doubt UK adds anyone other then New Zealand kid but if they did--I'm guessing it would be a player immediately eligible over traditional transfer. Too many elite guys on '16 wanting to go to UK to go that route.
