Can't imagine this is good for UK (or anyone other than Duke). Dang

@EvanDaniels: Duke will meet with Brandon Ingram (http://t.co/ZscOSbGBP7) again, per sources. Met with him on Friday. Will be back in again on Tuesday.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

Maybe because he picked UK and they are trying to persuade him.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

Don't know how credible this guy is.

@CoachEvWilliams: Also, looking more and more like Brandon Ingram stays home, according to some folks I've talked to. Duke or North Carolina.

Well, that does make sense. Guess that 2nd visit is more for uncheat than UK.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

K hasn't lost any energy. I'd be all over him too.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

That same guy says we are looking better with diallo and that kansas is losing ground

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

Not leaving North Carolina.

Well that explains why refs have no souls when doing a duke game, K feasts on them like vampires.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

On a good note -

@CoachEvWilliams: Kentucky has regained some momentum in the recruitment of Cheick Diallo. Two-horse race between St Johns. KU losing some momentum.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

If this is anything I would think it would be negative for Duke. Think this kid was Carolina's to lose. Hopefully, the cats are the benefit of him not wanting to disappoint his Carolina ties and he heads to Kentucky.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

No way Ingram hoes to UNC. If he does, he's a fool and we don't want fools on our team.

However, you all are selling Cal short. Yes, the young man is from NC, but UK is the greatest baskets basketball program in college history with the best recruiter in college basketball who just met with the young man. Yes, there is a 2 way fight for Ingram and its between UK and Duke. We DONT know what's going on, but K will throw everything at Ingram: tears, playing time, who knows. But Cal may ask for one more meeting as well and,if he does, I like our chances!

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

My first thought was that it is probably not good for us, but if he is picking them as of now, why does he have to meet with them again? Possibly Cal's pitch was better and he just wants to give Duke one last pitch. Or maybe he wants to tell them in person. Don't think we can really say whether it's good or bad.

I remember Terrence Jones would never leave Washington

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

duke isn't going to do jack squat next year

why would this cat even consider going there is beyond me.............

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

I've never expected Ingram. He has UNCheat and Duke in his home state. With Dukes success why would he need to pick UK?

Last time I checked, Oregon wasn't home to two Powerhouse programs.

Why would Kennard pick Duke. I know he's from Ohio, but supposedly a huge UK fan.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

Per Adam Zagoria

"Brandon Ingram[/B] will finish up his in-home visits this week.
After meeting with Duke and Kentucky on Friday and Kansas Saturday, the 6-foot-9 Ingram will meet with N.C. State (Monday), Duke (Tuesday) and North Carolina (Wednesday), Kinston (N.C.) coach Perry Tyndall[/B] told SNY.tv.
Duke will be coming in for a second time in five days.
Ingram is projected as the No. 6 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by DraftExpress.com."

No huge UK fan picks Duke over UK, sorry. His parents might be big fans, but I highly doubt he is/was.

I will also agree!

Exactly. Never believed it when I heard it. No way a kid grows up a huge UK fan, gets an offer to UK, and then picks dUKe.

Now that would be awkward. Doubt that is the reason. Maybe Ratface picked up a bad vibe after Cal visited so he's going

back to try and talk the kid out of signing with the CATS!

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

IMO Ingram would be a very good version of TJ without the extra year of experience. If UK gets him it could give us a poor man's version of 2012:

AD - Skal
MKG - Poy
TJ - Ingram
Ulis - Teague
Mulder - Lamb
Briscoe/Matthews - backup PG + Miller
Wiltjer - Willis
Vargas - Lee (not nearly as big but maybe somewhat adequate) (Diallo maybe???)

Without Ingram we will have pretty much a totally different look tho.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

Do people actually believe there's a chance to pry this kid away from Tobacco Road?

I put it at a 10% he comes to Kentucky. Duke just won a national title and they're likely to add a reclassified Thornton. Ingram joins that group and they're back to being a top 10 team next season.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

Why would he go to UNC not knowing what sanctions they are going to have.

Winston Bennett grew up a big UofL fan (in Louisville) and picked UK - sometimes, people are smart, put their fandom aside and pick a school based on the coach, a situation or how it will benefit them - maybe Kennard loved the Duke campus, maybe he hit off with Coach K, maybe he thought their style of play fit him better, maybe Cal didn't recruit him as hard as Duke, there could be lot's of variables.

I have no idea, but he was leaving his home state either way. With Dukes current OAD success, why would Ingram leave. I hope he does, I'll just be shocked if he picks us.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

Is it my imagination or did I read somewhere that Ingram was a UNC fan and if it wasn't for the scandal, he would already be a Tarheel. If that is true, that he is a UNC fan, I just can't see him wanting to playing for their archrivals, Duke. Maybe the young man loves his state, but if you are a UNC fan, there is no way in He** you would play for Duke. If you want to stay in-state, then play for NCState, Wake Forest, but never Duke!

Does anyone know where this info concerning that Ingram won't leave NC started?

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

I'm amazed at how "cute" people can get in their reasoning about someone else's thinking. You can't tell. It's as simple as that.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

I too think it will be difficult to get him to UK, but Duke needing another visit is not a positive sign for them. It means something has changed since they last talked.

Not saying he won't still end up there, but this news gives me some hope we might yet be able to steal him away.

Re: Ingram meeting with Duke again

agreed. i figure him to duke, but i think this is a better sign for others recruiting him. as it appears he hasn't finalized anything. boy would i like to see that guy in kentucky blue.
