Influence of former FB players on recruiting (?)

I'm wondering if a former QB and 1st round draft selection might have any influence on the recruitment of Kendall. I'm thinking if said QB would take it upon himself to have a face-to-face meeting with Mr. Kendall, this just might be the leverage that UK needs in this recruitment!
