Infant Seating

I have an 8 month old infant who will obviously be sitting in our lap at the game. Does she have to have a ticket? I was told no by a family who had an infant and sat in front of us last season, but now I'm hearing all people regardless of age require a ticket. Thanks in advance for any information.

I know Rupp required me to have a ticket for my 1 y.o. a few years back. It probably depends on the person at the gate where you enter.

I know a lot of other schools allow for free entrance of kids up to 3 y.o. Which makes much more sense. You want to help instill the fandom early and build memories. And it's not like that kid is going to be taking someone else's seat.

No disrespect to the OP, but I don't get bringing toddlers and below to games. If you have no other choice I understand.

I have an 18 month old and one on the way...and a 21 year old. Been through it, and it certainly can be a distraction for you trying to watch the game.

I know my kids and most others are usually bored to death, and if we have a great loud crowd that can't be good for a baby can it?

I'm not a rowdy fan by any means, but I feel compelled to really temper my loudness if I were beside or behind an infant.

Babies should be home, not subjected to a bunch of drunks and screaming fans. I barely was able to go out to eat when I had my child. I guess I could have been rude and subjected everyone to a screaming baby, but I didn't.

Two things.

1. That's BS somebody needs a ticket if they aren't taking up a seat.

2. Leave the kid at home. Like others said, a packed stadium can not be good for an infant.

OP is a cheap stiff who doesn't want to spend money on a baby sitter or ticket :)

Just leave the kid with the tailgaters nearest to the gate you enter and pick him/her up on the way out.

Problem solved.

With all due respect OP, leave your baby at home and if you cannot find a sitter then stay home with the baby and watch the game on TV.. Everyone needs a ticket regardless of age and invariably you will leave the game early by taking a kid that young and you will have wasted your time and money..Good luck.

On a side note, if you still want a ticket I have a lower bowl ticket I'll sell you for face value. We have a group of 5 going and 6 seats so we're looking to get rid of it and just get our money back.

It's going to be HOT tomorrow..might want to rethink that idea. Just saying. Poor helpless child.

I'll be the voice of the middle ground, in that I have a six month old. My wife and I have decided that we leave the baby home for sporting events, unless we have suite or premier seating. I live in DC, and we go to Nats games in the Emerald Club. Lots of great space for a baby. Good AC, fancy changing room, cushioned seats that are shaded. Also, the fans aren't really noisy in those areas of the stadium. It's a nice family experience that way.

On the other hand we went in normal seats to DC United. We left less than half way through the game and decided we would not be taking our baby back to a game unless we had fancy seats. We'd rather get a sitter and get the full experience in the normal seats anyway.

Sir..Ma'am...With all due respect having raised 5 children, but have you seen the weather forecast for tomorrow...Not fit for man , especially an 8 month old. Is it really necessary?

Sounds like you need to work on your parenting skills bub.

Leave your infant at home. That's is why God made Grandparents to watch your little ones. OP use your common sense. Hot weather, loud crowd noise to hurt little ears, drunk fans, large crowd pack in like sardines in the stands,
Etc etc etc.....
