In the film room from last night’s game

We have always run out of bounds plays and situational plays when we had players to execute plays.

You can’t run plays with Boston, Askew, Toppin, Brooks, Wheeler type players.

You will see that Lamb/Davis curl cut type play now with Sheppard and Bradshaw.

Or the Harrelson/Knight high pick and pop again now.

Or the Knox and Herro sloppies that we haven’t had anyone to run since Knox and Herro.

This is a vintage Cal team that we haven’t seen since ‘20.

Talented 3 level players at almost every position.

Funny that other teams do it to us all the time and successfully. NMST ran one last night from underneath their own goal and got an AND 1. The lack of out of bounds plays complaint has always been from underneath our own basket where all we do is throw to the extended arm in the corner which I believe we did last night as well.

Love how Ramsey points out the play of Mitchell doing things that enable teammates. What I noticed most the other night was how he was able to pull down 9 rebounds while supporting 1-2 State players on his back.

Something that might go unnoticed, but it seems Brandon Ramsey took a subtle shot at Oscar or at least calling out Oscar's weaknesses: First time in two years the paint isn't clogged.

Maybe that's more of him just calling out the situation we were dealt with for those two years. But interesting none the less.

It might not have been personal, but it is true.
