In Other News, Diallo Recruiting Hard for UK

Good stuff, glad to see that Diallo is working on Knox and Bamba so much. Just says, to me, that right now he is definitely planning to be at UK next year instead of jumping to NBA as some feel. Loved, too, how he is selling the idea that you need to come here and be prepared to work hard all the time or don't bother coming.

Diallo's message is scary...

That's some hours he is expecting from his teammates. :scream::scream::scream:

#Respect for all UK players. I'm sure a lot of them worked their ass off. Us fans have no clue what they go through.

I know we aren't trying to think to much about it because they could go elsewhere, but if we bring in

I concur with this sentiment.

I like this.

He just told me, ‘You better come in and work and stay focused.’ That’s all they do in the gym,” Green said. “Come work out everyday — like five times a day, late night, sometimes you miss out on sleep just cause you’re working out. Then you go to class the next day. After class you go to the gym. Everything’s a workout fest there.

This group seems like they really want to be legendary, like the 2013 class was. I think it will have a better record than they did and won't be a #8 seed needing a miracle run to reach a Final Four.

Diallo is just gonna rule. NOBODY is talking about him now and no one but the BBN and a few hoops junkies know who he is or how great he is. It's gonna be so much fun watching people's jaws drop next year when they see that UK has another ridiculous backcourt and a front court to go with it!

I really think his experience will pay dividends. In some ways, it's better to see a SEC slate and not have to play through it. He knows how things drag in January and feb, he knows what the SEC and NCAA tournament is like. He knows what a grind practice can be and he's letting everyone know up front. We're going to be so young next year, but Diallo will practically be a sophomore having seen what's he's seen.

I like the fact that this will separate the wheat from the chaff. If they don't commit, work ethic might not be up to par. I like the fact he is challenging them.

Diallo will be one of the most exciting players in college basketball next season. While none of us expect Curry level shooting from the outside, if the kid can just knock some outside shots down, it will open the floor up a lot more and help him do what he does best and attack the basket. This kid would dunk on a few people next season. We probably have not had a guard that can fly like this kid in a long time, if ever. I know some worry about shooting, but this kid will do other things on the floor to help Kentucky win. The fact the kid is recruiting as hard for Kentucky next season shows the kid is at least a team player and understands the fact that signing as many talented players as you can sign can only help make the game that much easier for him. Let's just hope the kid doesn't blow up and enter the NBA draft. I know it's not likely at this point, but in today's colleege basketball world, you have to start expecting the unexpected. After the screw job we got against UNC, most Kentucky fans should understand by now that if the NCAA can help it, they will do their best from keeping Cal and Kentucky cutting down the nets. It's sad, really. I don't mind watching Kentucky lose a game. It has happened more times than not once the NCAA tourney starts, but to lose when we all know for fact that the refs were in UNC's pocket, it makes losing the game a lot harder. Cal has to recruit at an insane level if he wants to cut down the nets. The Ncaa is never going to allow the man to do it without their road blocks. If you recruit at a level no other team can recruit at and have the huge talent advantage, it just makes it harder for the Ncaa to take away the national championship from Cal and Kentucky. I bet Cal is now thinking the same thing. When you have a freak like Davis on the floor, the Ncaa really can't do much to keep Cal from cutting down the nets. When you don't, you see what can happen. Too bad every class doesn't have a freak like Davis to play in your frontcourt.

GOAT and not close. That's 7 five stars and a high four.
