I was extremely frustrated most of the game. We were not mentally ready. Maybe we thought it would be an easy win. Maybe we were just mentally exhausted from the previous game. Who knows? But one thing is true. ALL teams, even the best, go through these downers. When the ball bounces right and a few great plays are made, they survive. Sometimes they don't. Take yesterday, for example. A very, very good Ole Miss team who just beat Alabama last week (which if you haven't noticed is a very, very good team that just killed UGA), went to the swamp and go killed by a team that we barely lost to.
Then there is Ohio State. They just about got knocked off by Indiana, of all teams. Even LSU gave up a lot of points to EMU. We played a very bad game yesterday. There are no excuses. But somehow we found a way to overcome whatever it was that had us by the throat and came back to win. Give some real credit also to our fired up D in overtime, which overcame a questionable pass interference call, but still rose to the occasion.
