Felt like he had a really good game with his defense, assists and those free throws while cramped. I haven't really read anything about his game last night other than lumped in with Ulis and Murray. Just liked what I saw from him.

I agree. He brings a dimension that complements Ulis and Murray well. Plus I love watching his use of his mouthpiece.

Have we had a briscoe since cal got here? To me he's like a smaller MKG. If you took MKG and shrunk him down to play PG thats briscoe... Really like what I saw from him last night, scrappy, and hard to handle off the dribble.

How about Eric Bledsoe? Similar? Not afraid of anybody. Tough as nails.

When I was watching Briscoe play last night, I kept seeing James Harden. It had more to do with the way he moved and the way he handled the ball and got to the rim. Harden is a great shooter, can't guard anyone. Briscoe can REALLY "D" up. Loved the impact he had on the defensive end of the floor. If any of you have seen the video mocking Harden, that is what kept coming into my mind watching Briscoe play last night. Crazy as it sounds. Maybe it was also that Briscoe was playing the 3rd option last night like Harden did in OKC. (probably reaching)

Thought Briscoe played really well. The 3 guard combo of Ulis/Murray/Briscoe is going to be the driving force of this team, no matter how good Skal ends up being. You could see it in the guard's body language that after the first few minutes of the game, they all three knew that they were better than the people they were playing against. Just had a swagger and confidence about them that I read as "you can't guard me, and you can't get by me." Duke's guards had the opposite look, like they knew they were outmatched.

Briscoe gets overshadowed because of Murray and Ulis, but that guy is a tough badass and he is not afraid of anyone on the court and does all the gritty things you like to see a guy do.
His intelligence on the court/bball IQ is underrated as well. He usually makes the smart play.

His defense is going to be scary good if he continues to improve just a bit in the scheme. His on-ball skills and ability to stay in front of his man are already top level. I was impressed by that over the other stuff.

Well.... except the bankshot 3!

I loved Briscoe last night. Tough as hell, great handle, and had some beautiful finishes around the rim. That right hand - right foot finish to end the first half was great.

Cal has been on him about stepping up his defense. Going to be a special player.

He is a bulldog with an attitude.
