And even better than all that, what these young men will be doing to serve the community, as our past teams have done.

If you go 40-0 this year I will eat my hat. Then eat your hat. Then eat a hat factory.

Not to dis your team AT ALL, they will be very good, but your non-con is BRUTAL.

BKO makes a perfectly innocent and sane post and somebody starts screaming 40 - 0. Shortly after some fool from Kansas wants to start eating hats.

This must be a Kentucky board.

I have been counting down the weeks and I am ready for another fun year. Last year was my 1st time to be at Rupp and had a lot of fun. I think this year is going to be another fun year for all UK fans. I hope we beat UL by double digits this year.

I just want to see "Beat Down" Mode Ulis and Briscoe will go on during the game.

I think, that'll be a rare sight. It'll be crazy sight.

Not funny topic but I had to laugh reading that. UK <> KU

And to answer your question. Not to my knowledge, though I'm not sure about the dyslexia. In my experience, those folks so encumbered seem to be pretty bright. That really doesn't match my observations relative to KU fans.

Oh, gosh, we had our shot at Florida. It was there and we didn't get it done.

I started having Wisconsin and Georgetown flashbacks. I probably need to see a shrink about PTSD.
 
Our non conference is not that brutal. Duke on neutral court U of L in Rupp, at a weak UCLA. ill give you at KU but we will be ready for all comers.
 
They`re isn`t a day goes by that me and the boys at work doesn`t talk Big Blue Basketball. It consumes us at times.
 
I'm sorry but I'm still in football mode. I really don't get excited for basketball until November. I'm not bashing you though.

I was having Florida flashbacks. For some reason, we just CANNOT beat them in football.

I agree. I love UK basketball, but football is my favorite sport overall. I love college football and the NFL. Once we play our first exhibition game is when I really start to ready for b-ball as that means the first real game is only a week away or so.

It's the line. I never really understood that till we moved to AL. It's not that we don't have good linemen. It's that we don't have enough. Say what you want about skill players, football is all about those guys in the trenches.

I thought I was having PTSD. With these guys shrieking 40 - 0, should we call the guys in white coats now or wait a day? They are getting more delusional than a North Carolina player sitting in class writing a term paper.

I don't get in basketball mode until January. And I'm really not completely there until February. Football 24/7, 365.

LOL yes it IS the Kentucky board - and to be honest, I half expected this thread to be completed derailed by now. It's all good my friend. Was just reading the other posts and it occurred to me how very lucky we are. Not to mention spoiled, haha.

I think it'll be a fun season.

oh I totally understand. I love football myself - my heart was a bit broken Saturday night, but I believe we'll beat Missouri this weekend..

As much as some of us enjoy football, and even though there really isn't much going on in hoops right now, didn't see anything wrong with looking forward to basketball season :smiley:
 
They brought the basketball team out on the field Saturday night at the football game. I just wished they had introduced them to us. I didn't know who most were.

I respect those UK fans who have stayed with UK football over the years and never wavered. Having said that, I am a fan of the football team but I live, eat, and sleep UK basketball. When the football team loses, I am very disappointed. When the basketball team loses, I am crushed.
 
What this thread needs is some more Cal Bell.
