If you could get one transfer back from Cal's time here to plug in on this team, who would it be and why?
I would vote for Kyle Wiltjer. Kid would thrive in the 4 with this team. Thoughts?

Calipari only players...

I don't know if we really need any guards, but Matthews and Juzang might be the best choices there.

Keion, but he's still a terrible shooter. He was an adequate defender though. I don't know if he really left here amicably though.
Hopkins. A guy with some bulk might actually be some help for this team. Not amicable here either.
Fletcher: Not amicable either.

So, really, I'd so none of them. Juzang or Matthews if we had to take 1.

Cal is vindicated on Hopkins imo, and he’d be a horrible addition to this team. Inefficient volume scorer and a black hole. And we thumped him in the tournament.

Maybe Charles Matthews

Charles Matthew's for sure.

Maybe Wheeler so we could get live updates on his facial expressions during game threads.
Charles Matthews is the right answer.

He's exactly what that 2017 needed - a 6'6", strong, versatile wing defender who could have helped us defend Justin Jackson in that Elite Eight game.

He was also skilled enough offensively to not be an offensive liability when he was on the court. Great player who helped lead Michigan to the title game a few years later.

Whatever happened to Fletcher?

If Brooks had a consistent shot......he'd be a great addition. But he just doesn't.

I'd take Hopkins back. He's averaging 8 RPG roughly. Shots 42.5% from the field and 16 pts a game. That's not horrid.

Whatever happened to Fletcher?

Beginning of December last year he tore his ACL. He was having a decent season before that happened. 10.8pts and 7.5 rebounds in 10 games.

Remember he's coming back from that torn ACL so he wasn't likely fully back in basketball shape so his 6.7pts and 5 boards is lower than that, but he was doing that in 16 minutes a game compared to the 29.1 minutes he was playing last season.

Unfortunately, and they haven't said exactly what his newest injury is, but he will miss the rest of this season as well with some sort of knee injury. Very snake bit by the injury bug unfortunately.

I think Kellen Grady would be pretty awesome with this group, maybe have Reid Travis to have a bit more bulk inside.

Not sure who I'd pick, but it's funny how some of these guys come here thinking they will be one and done, then transfer out when that isn't the case and go on to play 2-3 years somewhere else.

because most of them think they are the next MJ coming out of H.S.
once they get to college and are not immediately great then it is the coaches fault not theirs (a lot of that comes from their handlers and family looking for a paycheck)
at their next school they finally figure out that they are not the next MJ

He's basically what we're missing in Adou and Edwards...
