Probably too soon. I'm sure there will be more seasoned coaches changing jobs that we can land one that can a) coach, and b) recruit. May have to pony up extra bucks but, in the long run, it's worth it as we saw with Schlarman who was worth his weight in gold.

Also jmo but the events of the last two days tell me yenser is going nowhere. Had one guy hit the portal and two more announce they're returning for a covid year. I don't see those decisions made with an empty coaching position. Again jmo

God bless UK fans who always want to hire great former Wildcat players as position coaches. We need to hire SEC level high achievers as recruiters in our position coaches. Frankly haven't done that nearly well enough. Guts like Clink and Sumrall were ace recruiters were nit replaced by similar abilities. And most SEC programs the wide reciever coach is a recruiter as well.

Drake Jackson tutored under John Schlarman, an OL coach that year in & year out produced one of the top 4 or 5 OL's in the country. I would be thrilled if Yenser were to leave & be replaced by Drake Jackson.

I heard Yenser, mid-season, say that the Cox's were his most important two recruits.

Agree. He fired Woody 2 days ago. Last year he fired Settle & Scan 4 or 5 days after the UL game.

May be giving Yenser some time to try to find a new job so its not a firing. Woody may have said he can't find anywhere to go, and got fired.

Nah, why would Stoops bend over backwards for a coach here 2 yrs who he judged isn't good enough anymore but didn't give that courtesy to Woody, here 3 yrs?

We gotta get a lot of shit done in Dec, sign the 2024 HS recruits, sign portal transfers, re recruit players from entering the portal we want to keep. all basically before Dec 22. Ain't no time to keep an assistant as a charity case when it is all hands on deck.
