how will it affect your interest and viewing habits? I'm doing away with several services that allowed me to record games or watch on a delayed basis because they don't work correctly, and often record different programming than is listed in the guide.

I'm not really interested in spending so much money for 3 hours per week of interesting programming, much less spending money for several services to get to watch different content.

I’m guessing SEC is getting ready to sign enormous media contract with Tx and Okla coming into the conference that will put SEC games on most every carrier. I don’t think we’ll ever see “pay per game” because that would generate less revenue.

Now, PAC 12 and a few other conferences may get bumped down to the pay options you list. I don’t see SEC being there in the foreseeable future.

I’ve never seen a breakdown/comparison of how much money could be involved by each method, but I will withhold my vote on the topic, lest it be used by the powers to make that move.

The game-of-the-week is just too lucrative for pay-per-view. Maybe lesser games get that treatment?

It's cheaper to watch them all on streaming right now than buying cable. If you are only wanting to see UK games. Most all games will be viewable with an ESPN+ subscription since that covers all ESPN and SECNetwork games. Then at worst a couple CBS games a year, which you can get also. It'll never be as expensive as your cable/satellite bill is. Mostly because you can cancel services in the off season and pick and choose when you want them throughout the year. Like how I pay for Redzone from September through January then cancel it the rest of the year.

That would so suck if they did that for UK basketball. We can get over football, we know our place and it's low overall. But streaming sucks to be honest.

You have to have a live tv subscription to go along with ESPN+

that's just a dumbass statement you know basketball runs the state. We wouldn't even be known if it wasn't for basketball. Outside of vandy we are the worst history team in the SEC. Those weak kids you say win titles for us and SEC tournament titles. While your real men hasn't won half there SEC games in the history. Good luck with football while uga Bama lsu and ut get all the press.

I moved to essentially all streaming platforms 7-8 years ago, myself. It's cheaper.

I’ll watch part of tonight’s UT game and surf a lot of games Sat. I would never pay to watch any of these games. Advertisers want more than just diehard fans watching their commercials. (I confess to surfing to other games during commercial unless it’s UK. I usually start UK games 30-45 mins late so I can fast forward through commercials and halftime and catch it live in 4th qtr!)

YouTube TV is the best at recording what you want it to record. If a games runs over it doesn't cut off the end.

No, it doesn't. That's flat out wrong man. ESPN+ gets you the Miami game, any other game you need a cable provider login.

If everyone could just get the UK games for $6.99/month then why wouldn't everybody already be signed up for that. Its because they can't. And I would know. I use a media box. And I have ESPN+. So no cable. There's enough old folks confused on here we don't need to add to it with false information.

It’s no different than the dying cable set up. You’ll still be able to stream three Hulu or whatever you use instead of the cable so you’re not out any more money. No games are going to be PPV. If it was then we’d be going backwards.
