The only way we lose the overall #1 seed is if we lose tomorrow and in the SEC tourney. If we win tomorrow, it won't matter what happens in the SECT. If we lose tomorrow (ain't gonna happen), we would need to win the SECT imho to keep the overall #1.
However, regardless what happens tomorrow and in Nashville, we will be a #1 seed.
I don't disagree with this and probably should happen since we will not play a team the caliber of Duke. But I think we have established the perception of best team in the country and a slip up in the tourney is not considered as bad, IMO.Originally posted by KopiKat:
Virginia has just one loss on the season, that being to Duke. If Virginia wins out (tomorrow in the chum bucket, ACC tourney champs), I think the committee will be tempted to give them the #1 seed if we fail to win the SEC tournament.

Sadly possible.Originally posted by UKrazycat2:

I wonder if Lunardi would have Wisconsin as UVA's #2 in this scenario? Geography would be as close as it gets to UK ..however I betcha it would change the #2 seed. Cal was right when he said he guaranteed UK would be given the toughest path regardless of seed.Originally posted by brianpoe:
