...who would you be "most" okay with losing to? I mean, we never want to lose, but certainly losing to some programs (UConn, U of L, UNC, Duke) would be like a kick in the gut.

I say Utah. They owe us five or six times over at this point. Really, that's about the only team I can think of other than a Gonzaga or someone like that who we've never played or rarely played.

Utah? Hell no, I love making them our March Madness biatch everytime we play.

Gonzaga? Lose to that punk Wiltjer who jumped ship on UK and have to hear all the Cal bashers on here bash Cal and our team and praise can't play D Wiltjer? Again, Hell no!

White team....or blue team. Yes, that was last year's answer...recycling it.

For those of you having a hard time understanding the question....would you rather lose to UConn again or to Utah?

I mean, chances ARE we are going to lose at some point. The odds dude on the Afternoon Underdogs gave us a zero percent chance of winning the tournament about a week ago. That's right, zero. Personally, I think it's more like a 10 percent chance and there aren't that many teams I'd put above us. But that's still a 90 percent chance we'll lose at some point.

Maryland. Was born there and that is actually my earliest memories of college basketball so they are my second favorite team now. It's a Grand Canyon sized gap between 1 and 2 though. There is no 3.

A better hypothetical question is: who would you rather beat in the NC final game?

Iowa State... They are a good team so it wouldn't really be a bad loss, and I'm a big fan of Coach Prohm.

Oklahoma is the best team in the field that I have zero animosity towards and Hield is just insane. I never want to lose but I wouldn't be too furious about that.

I was going to mention them. They'd be a good second to Utah for me. The list is definitely short as pretty much every team out there has either beaten us or would never stop talking IF they beat us. Imagine losing to a Memphis or Cincinnati or Indiana. They'd never shut up. Or to Marquette again or UConn. I would definitely prefer a western team with a laid back fan base.

Sounds like that odds dude sucks at his job.

If I had to pick, I'd go with Xavier. Living in Northern Kentucky and working in Cincinnati area, their fans seem harmless and Chris Mack seems like a great guy. UC fans for the most part hate Kentucky but I don't get the same sense from Xavier fans. But then again, there aren't really that many of them so it's hard to tell.

Loose in the tourney shut yo mouth Boy

My thoughts as well.

Please not Iowa. I live in Iowa and work/surrounded by Hawkeye fans.
Where do you live in Iowa. I was born there moved to Kentucky I'm 1961 and been a Cat fan ever since! And my oldest son graduated from UK in 1993!

This.
All IU fans want to talk about is the December 2011 game on their home court but they refuse to talk about the game that was far more important and ended their season just a few months later.

This is a tough question, if we lose to anyone that team moves up the list of teams I don't like just because they ended our season. I had no problems with Wisconsin until they ended our season last year. So it doesn't matter as long as it isn't one of our rivals. Losing to Duke or UConn again would be the worst, though. Or UNC this year since they do not deserve to be playing in the tourney, IMHO.

There's no real way to answer this question. We have had no particular beef with UAB when they upset us as a 1.... doesn't help any. There are no good losses in the tournament, by definition. One team gets to come out feeling 100% awesome, and everyone else has a twinge of "what if?"

Actually, we HAD lost to UAB before, so that loss stung a little bit more. Sam Bowie's sophomore team. We would have been annihilated by national champion Indiana in the next round (as UAB was), but still.

Ah, before my time. But still, no one rags on UAB too much as a KY fan. Trying to think of our biggest tournament loss to a team we had no real history with... I guess the problem is UK has history with almost everyone!

I live in Utah. So definitely not Utah.

Actually I can't even wrap my head around this question.

One year we lost to St. John's. They were the one seed and we were seeded 12th, I believe. That was definitely a loss that didn't feel like a kick in the shins. We beat a five seed and a four seed just to get to them.

I suggest you review what happened in the 1981 tournament if you think we had no beef with UAB before 2004. That damn little program has dealt us two of our most devastatingly embarrassing tourney upsets ever, and we still haven't gotten real payback.

The real question should be if bcg were our coach who would you want to win the most against?

Yeah, I was probably just a few days old at the time, so my memory is a little hazy.

North Liberty, just outside of Iowa City. Moved here in 1994. Graduated UK in December 1993.
I grew up in the little town of Oakville about 20 miles north of Burlington! Lot of kin folk around the Wapello, Morning Sun, and Mediapolis area!
