than Mathews I would like to see them. From what I've seen of him on TV, he is a good one.

Maybe there are. Maybe his stock will rise. Scouts are still watching him, more than ever in fact now that he is UK bound. Doesn't matter where he is ranked, because if he can play in college then it's a different story. High school ranking is fun, but it is subjective, relative, dynamic, and does not determine your fate in college and beyond. He could end up an All American here, or become the next Stacey Poole, Jr. Let's see what he and Cal can do with his development.

There isn't much difference in the 15th and 50th best player. Don't worry about it. He is pretty good.

After the top 25 or so 5 stars basically 26-75 are really good players were plenty of NBA, all-americans, legends come out of. Not much difference is being ranked 28 or 68 IMO. WCS was a 4 star and now hes probably a front-runner for NDPOY and top 5 NPOY along with first or at worst second team all-american and lottery pick. Lots of really good teams will rely on 4 stars or lower next year.

All of the reports seem to indicate he'll be a nice addition to the team. If he is highly motivated, and works hard with a chip on his shoulder to prove he should've been ranked higher... all the better!

WCS was rated near where Matthews is at the moment, so maybe he can see how a person who is not a five star recruit can progress, grow and succeed.

If you have two working eyes and have watched basketball for maybe 50 games, you can tell Mathews can play. He is quick, long, tenacious and skilled. Rate him 75th ( Chuck Hayes) or 50 something (Joachim Noah)or whatever Ulis was ranked, Mathews will play lots of minutes next year and play them well.

I have not seen him play live but only on the tv. Tv is different than in person.
I have watched a lot of top HS talent this year in person and this is a deep class.
When I watched the twins play in person I was not overly impressed. Thought they were around 20-30 or so. Average athleticsm. For a guy to be top 10 this guy pops. You watch him and your like omg this guy is an alien. Lol
I've prob seen over a 100 top 10 guys play in person over the years. I've seen several that I was thinking what in the world do these guys see??
Newman is a top notch player. When you watch him play that was what I was expecting Aaron to be like. They are rated similar in their classes.

Mathews has outstanding athleticsm but needs to polish some of his peremiter skills and decision making. Can disappear at times and has gotten better at being a constant force on the floor. I would put him around 25-30 right now as I have not seen him in person.
