in that situation you can believe the refs would have not called a technical on them.
 
Pat Adams should be better than that. If you can swallow your whistle on a foul or walk in the last 10 seconds you can look over a player slamming a ball hard enough to get head high going to the end of the floor that everyone is moving to.
 
Just like the hanging on the rim thing, what the hell does something like this hurt?

You give someone 2 points and the ball in that situation? You decided the game.
 
From an ex-official: I can assure you Pat Adams' partners were NOT happy with that whistle. I thought they had all worked a solid game...until then.
 
Officials play to the crowd all the time. Those stupid demonstrative calls where they launch themselves to half court to call a charge always get under my skin. They would have been too afraid to make the home crowd upset and would have given a delay of game.
