Ray has played well. Oline in general looked good against UF, so what do you do with Horsey if he’s ready to play? Replace Burton?

Burton is currently stating at RG, and he played his best game as a Wildcat against FL. The Horseman is a LG. IMO it would be counterproductive to move the Horseman to the right side at midseason. IDK if he will play this week, but he was walking without a limp on the sideline on Saturday. If he is able to play, I expect they would bring him back slowly by rotating him with Ray. But our OL was amazing last Saturday, so I doubt there will be any hurry to break that chemistry. JMO though. The Horseman is a team captain, so I'm sure Coach Stoops would like to have him in this difficult road environment.

Start Horsey and Jagger at guards. Use Ray as a sub at LT & LG. Putting Ray at a 3rd different O line spot in Athens is overthinking.

Dylan Ray has done a remarkable job replacing the injured Horsey, excited by his future.

Get Horsey in at LG and sub Ray accordingly. Horsey needs to be out there with his guys since this is his last year. Ray has a lot more college to go.

No knock on Ray – he got abused a few times at Vanderbilt, but did very well against Florida. Ray's good, but could get obliterated by Georgia's front. For experience, talent, consistency, and the whole shebang, give me a healthy Horsey.

Yeah. I’d be open to rotate in Horsey at LG if he’s up for five series…and then you can rotate Ray with the Oline as rhe season progressed

For sure. The more I read about Dylan Ray's hs career in Noblesville, the harder it is to understand why he didn't receive significant scholarship offers. FWIW, Ray has gotten larger and stronger since his Noblesville days, which suggests he is a hard worker in the gym. This is starting to look like a regional recruiting oversight on the scale of Calvin Taylor, Luke Fortner, or maybe bigger.

I think we need to interpret this according to the rapid improvement Ray is making. He is a new starter in a brand new program. When I look at taped replays from UK-FL, Ray was amazing in the first half against one of the top defenses in the south. At this early stage of his career as a rotation player in a new system, if he improves this much from one week to the next, that tells me he has a high football IQ and a higher performance ceiling than we have seen so far. As Coach Stoops often says, it's always about getting better.

Certainly don't disagree about getting the Horseman back into our lineup. He is a team captain. But I wouldn't hurry him unless he is 100%. We will need him for the rest of this season. The chance to maybe score a program turning win against GA is intoxicating but it's a long season with a bowl game at the end. Sure don't want the Horseman gimpy in the weeks ahead.
