I don't know how people would feel about it, but I would love a best of 3 series in the elite 8 then on the final 4/championship a best of 5. You get to keep the Cinderellas in the first few rounds but the best team would generally end up winning the ship.

Really......surely we haven't been reduced to Eww-Tee level of happiness and being happy we had regular season wins on the teams that makes it to the finals?

When we beat Duke & Florida, neither of those two teams were playing at the level they are today. Not even close. It does not diminish the two wins but that certainly was at a different level of those teams.

We also have to remember coaches are going to start having a lot more success in year one and "rebuild years". The portal is going to make it where it's not surprising for a 1st year coach or good coaches that lose a lot of players with eligibility to have success.

Speaking of, I really hope we do a little better this portal because looking at the final 4 teams it's going to take a boom or two for us to get to where they are.

I actually like this idea and I think about it often. Once you get to the second weekend, a best out of 3 series until the champion…

This. Elite 8 and on should for sure best beat out of 3, IMO
