Now that they regularly stomp us in baseball and football, it is time to concede they now have the second-best overall sports program in the state. Thankfully, we still have basketball.

Perhaps when we build the new $30 million stadium, we can charge $500 K fund parking passes to raise sufficient money to catch up to Western. I would add in super exclusive expensive skyboxes at $25,000 per season so that maybe we can win 10 or 11 games in the SEC, every once in a while. I have long since given up on ever winning an NCAA regional. Forget the College World Series (or a mid level bowl game), because there can be no doubt that lack of funding is holding us back to compete with major national powers like Louisville and Western in football and baseball. One thing we do have is an athletic director that is a Jedi Master of raisng funds from its fan base.

To be fair, the weather is probably one or 2° warmer on a daily average in Bowling Green, which gives Western a significant advantage over Kentucky, which hard to overcome.
