A program with a storied history, locked behind a dusty display case with its trophies. On the college basketball landscape, I think that's where we're at.

There's already a thread on this, but I totally agree. We've become what Indiana has become.

I was thinking this week how this area used to rival tobacco road as a hotbed of college BB. This year you have IU, X, UC, UL, and OSU not making the cut and UK getting our shit run early by a 14 seed.

As bad as Cal has been the last few years, no program has out performed us in the tournament since 2010. Most of that success came between 2010-2015 but the point still stands. Comparing UK to Indiana is insulting.

I know this thread is probably somewhat tongue in cheek but we are still the most relevant program probably this side of Duke in terms of eyeballs, etc. Indiana doesn’t move any needles.

in terms of NCAAT success, we are quickly becoming Indiana and it’s only a matter of time before the rest follows if something doesn’t change

IU's whacko administration is the reason for IU's troubles, I always thought UK's would be the opposite... Lifetime contract: wow.

I don’t think we’re there yet, but as a program we are at a pivotal crossroads. We haven’t won anything of worth in a while, and I’ve accepted we will not win anything for awhile. Either we are stuck with Cal and get the same results we’ve seen the last 4 years, or get a new coach who is going to have a complete rebuild. I say we cut the fat, get a new coach, and then to rebuild it.
