First of all it was a day after Cal had met with him. Secondly, he was done meeting with everyone and needs to make a decision soon. Hope we get the guy but it won't be because of what you are thinking and putting together.

No way he's going to St. John's. His relationship with Slice is not such as would lead him to play for a 1st year unproven Chris Mullin & a depleted roster. Kansas or UK all the way.

I do not know what he will decide but people who think he will follow Slice to St. John's are naive, in my opinion. He may want to be near NYC and pick St. John's for that reason. But the idea that Slice's influence would outweigh Cal's best sales pitch strikes me as way off.

I will only say that I hope he signs with Kentucky but I fear Cal has his work cut out for him. It is hard to over come the momentum and excitement a program and fans have with having a high profile new coach and staff like St. John's has now. Hopefully the kid can understand the opportunity that he has at Kentucky
