I still can’t believe……..

When the news broke and it started picking up some traction nationally, I was so excited I couldn't fall asleep, loved what he did for us the first 8 or so years but am so happy that chapter is closed.

A few of us were in the first thread the night it happened. It was pretty late and I’ll never forget posting the very first Twitter rumor, and the 3 of us posting at that time said pretty please but assumed it was a stupid rumor.

About an hour later it looked 50/50.

A little after that we were in disbelief.

I wanted cow gone around 2017. I never really like the guy from the get go, but him leaving without making UK pay him was an honorable thing to do. He could have pitched UK hard but knew he had lost all support from almost every one associated with the program. He knew leaving was the right thing to do and he didn't deserve the money. It was the most honorable thing the man did at UK. That said, Im damn glad he's gone.

This is why people need to get off Mitch. Yes he made some bad hires but fixed them. He out maneuvered Cal and got out from under that contract when we all thought it was hopeless.

Football, check
Basketball, check
Woman's hoops, check
Woman's volleyball, check
Baseball, check
Track and field, check
Cheerleading, check

We have a very healthy Athletic Department at Kentucky. Hate to admit it, but thanks Mitch. Somehow you won top button.

The honorable thing to do was to leave in 2019. Instead the @sshole tanked for the next 5 years breaking all kinds of the wrong records and putting UK in unfamiliar territory. I’m glad he’s gone now but he sure did leave his stain on the program though! When he went to Arkansas without having permission to talk to them about the job he knew his goose was cooked. Anything that Cal does is for Cal that guy is not honorable in no way shape or form!

I think you mistake ignorance for honor. Cal gave UK an ultimatum without realizing he didn’t have a leg to stand on because he had unwittingly voided his contract. UK said kick rocks.
