A few months ago I made remarks that Towles is not a "gamer" and I believe Barker is....

I know the QB is not the only position on the field and UK has bigger problems than QB....

I"m just saying, I really believe Barker is the future. I have NEVER seen Towles come up big in a big game except for the Florida game last year. He does not have the "IT" factor. He just looks perplexed out there and not comfortable when the lights come on....It's nothing personal against Towles. I just think Barker is the future.

I've heard Stoops mention a few times that he really believes Barker is a "gamer when the lights come on the field". I think we need to seriously consider going with Barker soon for the future.

I also say Towles will never play in the NFL like many of you have crooned. He does not have it. He has all raw athletic ability, but not what is needed in between the ears. He just doesn't have it in my opinion.

I agree with this. I don't think Patrick is the QB to take us to the next level.

Towles is good enough for about 6-6 ... Barker we have no idea, will never find out if he doesn't get in the game. We can't seriously sit here and say Barker is better because we don't see the practices.

I can't believe he's a redshirt junior and he still stares down his receiver. All the db's have to do is go where he's staring cause that's where he's going to throw it, if he doesn't get sacked.

I don't think you're wrong but Barker is currently too immature to lead a team . I doubt he has entirely committed himself to the process of becoming a sec qb or otherwise he probably would have won the job given the assumption that he is more accurate than Towles .

I've heard that Barker is a little more inconsistent in practice, but I don't really care. If he makes big plays start putting him in games and see what happens when the lights come on.

I agree, guy has not shown much leadership skills thus far in his time at UK, and has been very immature off the field at times.
