Murray has a lot of the same game Rose and especially Evans had. Evans was horrible to start his career. had issues with shot selection and being out of control. it had gotten so bad Cal actually said he couldn't play him at times. once Evans brothers got involved Cal figured something out lol. the tweak for Evans was to move him to the point. once Cal did Evans went from probably late 1st round to lottery pick. I lived in Memphis at that time and it was bad. Evans looked nothing like he did at the end of the year.
same with Rose. he did not play like a 1 pick over all , not even close until Cal put the ball in his hands and literally told him to just go play. It's weird it's almost like Cal tries to form these guys into something their not comfortable with , then just unleashes them. not saying he does that with all his players. but when I hear Cal talk about the 20% chance of making certain shots Murray takes I have a flash back on how he talked about Rose and Evans. you think Murray takes some wild shots go watch Evans first half of his career.
I think Cal will just let Murray lose now. like a Rose and Evans his game are those streaking moments with big time shots taken and made. watch Murray when he lit up the U.S. half those shots he made in that run Cal would of flipped out over if he had taken this year. think it's just the kids game and he is that talented and confident he can make them.
just see a lot of comparison with those 3 and shot selection and type of game. Murray is the key like Rose and Evans were to our run this year. Rose with a solid supporting cast got UM to the finals. not saying Murray is Rose I believe closer to Evans, but I do believe it's gotta go through that kid.
