I like PJ Washington game..

I like turtles

He is 3 of 14 from the FT line. I can't remember seeing anybody missing double digit free throws.

I think people keep forgetting about Diallo. I love Washington but Diallo would be killing these all-star games. He has that star power that people keep sleeping on (not saying you are) - just don't hear much about him.

I think when people talk about this class they are referring to the 4 new signees and most consider Diallo in ast years. If you know what I mean. PJ is the type of player you build a championship team around. He is not an all star at any position of trait. BUT, he is really good at everything, He can have 12 points, 15 rebounds, 4 blocks, 4 steals, 6 assists. He is mentally tough, high basketball IQ, he is like a coach on the floor. And most important.....he WILL fight you. Meaning, he is tough. He is alot like Michael Kidd Gilchrist in that he will be getting the players in the breakfast club, getting them in the gym. He is physically solid at 6'-7" 230
Guys are gonna love him. Plus. his coach was Penny Hardaway so we will have him, occasionally in the stands

I love how everybody always knows exactly what these recruits are gonna be and how they're gonna play before they even get here. And then they get here and prove that you never know what you're getting..

If we get in to foul trouble with our guards we'll have a guy who can run some point forward. Next year's team is going to be extremely versatile.

Vanderbilt, Washington and Diallo can all handle the ball. We will be very dangerous in transition because we will have so many guys who can get it and go. Washington is a load. I look for this team to attack the rim relentlessly.

LOL its called life. Things are never exactly what you think and alot of time that is for the better. Just an odd comment . Just look at this last class - Fox and MOnk were as good if not better then expected , Bam was as good as expected and honestly better offensively then expected , Gabriel was what people said he was - a kid with oodles of talent but raw and SKJ dissappointed . I suspect this next class will be the same - most will live up to or surpass the hype and maybe 1-2 don't . Again that is life. PJ and Diallo are both extremely talented players and our top 3 scorers will be those 2 with Bamba IMO. Green might lead the nation in assists IMO as he has a plethora of bigs to get the ball to. We just need to secure the bamba pick ( which we will ) and add one more shooter off the bench ( which we will ) and we will be set for another run.

PJ's Dad coached Findley Prep In Vegas. Is the Penny connection from AAU or further back in high school? I agree a team player all the way. Born in Louisville KY.

good post. couldn't agree more. This class is what we need. They are tall and long. interchangeable players that can guard multiple positions. A guard that lives to feed other players and other players want to play with him. Good rebounders. An athletic big, all of them are ahead of their age physically, they are strong guys. We need bamba as a rim protector. Cals system doesnt use true positions 1 thru 5. Cal can play 3 guards or 4 forwards etc. But his most successful teams have had that rim protector to block shots in the paint. If we add Bamba AND Knox this team will be tough to beat next year. Knox will get alot of shots playing with the other guys.
