Trevor Bauer hit the nail on the head, both sides have combined to screw up the restart as badly as if they had done it intentionally. Then the silly rules they are proposing completely turn me off. Open substitutions? Start a man on 2nd in extra innings? The season is going to be only 50 or 60 games? Hell, why don't they just televise church league softball instead and call it a day.

Officially, for 2020, I am in the who gives a "ish" camp for the restart.

Gotta say... if they are going to experiment with crazy stuff then this is the time to do it. I'm pretty annoyed that they want to put the DH in the national league though. Once they do it, they won't go back.

If they institute the DH all through the MLB, you may go entire months without seeing a sacrifice bunt. I really don't like the style of play these days, I miss sac bunts, steals, hit and run, taking the extra base, etc. Too much K, BB, and HR these days. Just not my cup of tea.

I dont care about DH, I just want the same set of rules for each if we're going to continue interleague play.

I’m still watching every Reds game. Not a huge DH fan but Reds do have plenty of options so that helps. I agree, we won’t see a time without the DH in the NL now.

What bothers me more is the starting with a man on 2nd base in extras. That is completely changing the game and skewing stats. I hate it so much but if it gets baseball in 2020, I ain’t complaining too much

I dont mind the guy on 2nd. I dont want games ending in ties and some games can ridiculously long. But more importantly, it changes the strategy. Instead of every batter trying to turn the 10th inning on into a HR derby, putting the ball merely in play can win it. Time to get back to seeing teams play small ball. Thats where the action is.

still don’t like it. Artificially making base runners takes away from the sanctity of the game
