Projecting him in the mid range or lower is a joke.He has a nba body and game right now. Only weakness he has right now is his outside shot. But I'm sure he will work on that to get better. I like his game a lot.
2 games means nothing. If it did, Poythress would have been a top 5 pick years ago.
I like Briscoe and agree he could be a lottery pick but let's not go overboard because of 2 games he has played.
Pretty much this. Chad Ford had Poythress #1 the day after his Duke explosion.
Conference play is the time we get to see if the player is real or not. Opponents make adjustments, consistent competition, etc.
PG is the deepest position in the league. With Briscoe lacking explosion + a consistent jumper, his value takes a big hit. He can change all that if he starts knocking down Js at a high rate.
What do coming out of the closet and being a lottery pick have in common? Strange thread concept.

You beat me to it. That thread subject wasn't worded too well, was it?

Willis is a better shooter stats-wiseBriscoe is the best shooter (stats wise) on the team right now.
I'd agree he's at least a first rounder, and I think it's because of the effort, maturity, and attitude he's displaying. Love him thus far and I guarantee there are NBA scouts who are intrigued as well.
Heck - he's already outplayed a pre-season POY candidate in Allen.
There are a lot of quality guards in the league that are mediocre shooters at best. It certainly helps to be able to shoot but let's not act like not being a good shooter is some sort of death sentence
Maybe he should try to emulate Mike Conley. It isn't…but usually the non-shooting PGs are hyper-athletic. Which is also another one of his weaknesses.
