The young man gets the idea. He knows what it would mean to us. He's spent the day retweeting everything from UK media, to fans, to the UK football players!
Drew Barker is confident that Damien will come to UK. Damien has made it clear that regardless of what the talking heads pick in the crystal ball, only he knows what he wants to do, but after paying close attention, I truly feel like his heart is here in Kentucky.
I'm ready to see the best player to come out of Kentucky in a long time to come help turn the ship around, and be the home-state hero!

I think everything will hit home with him tonight.
Drew Barker and Matt Elam will be in his ear, the other home state recruits will be, he knows what his friends, family, and teachers all want, he's talked about it. He's been to every game, even the day after his injury, he still showed up. He loves spending time with the football team and the basketball team, takes pictures with them all the time. Then the allure of playing for the home-state school, 30 minutes away from home, where your friends and family can always watch, and giving you the opportunity to build your own legacy at Kentucky.
It's easy to talk up Alabama, but when you take all of these things into account, I'm not convinced he goes anywhere but Kentucky.

If he doesn't he doesnt. I don't get all the hand wringing. One back or player does not define a program.
I'd rather Marrow bring another 10 4 stars over the next 2 years than have one 5 star running back. If that what happens.
If one recruit defines the future of UK football, we're not going to get get where we need to be. It's not one part, but the sum of the parts. If after tomorrow we're "stuck" with Boom and others, I'm good with that.

As close as he is to the program and players has to be a big deal for him. He is a young man by most standards but really still just a kid. No matter who he picks tomorrow he will walk out of their with (I may have just made the biggest mistake of my life) in the back of his head. Will Kentucky be good or bad with or without him, well we will be good if the defense is shored up, if the O-line is better, if the coaches put the X and O`s` in the right place for the players to understand what we are trying to accomplish. If not then it won`t make a difference but if so then he will sure make a hell of a difference. You have to understand, that is what he is struggling with at this very moment. We can not be selfish although hard not to do and hope that no matter what he chooses it comes out to the the best for this young man!

I have thought Harris was UK bound all fall, actually since he decommitted from UM. But I know one of Bama's coaches pretty well and good friends with his dad. Talked to the dad today and we always talk football, about the boys, and girl, eventually touched on recruiting, Bama is expecting a big commit tomorrow. Didn't mention a name and I didn't ask, but regardless of where Harris chooses tomorrow, Bama's staff think he is theirs as of today. That isn't directly from one of their coaches, but from the coaches dad.

Did Barker say he thinks Harris is coming to us? I know he tweeted that people shouldn't worry because he didn't commit till the night before but I thought that was him saying don't listen to anything anybody is saying.

Isn't a QB recruit going to announce tomorrow, More than likely for Alabama.

He tweeted out, "Heroes come and go but Legends never die." I think its clear where he would be a hero/star and where he would be a legend. He would be a literal John Wall/Anthony Davis/Tim Couch type of king here. Hopefully its a clue.

I actually don't like that tweet. Hasnt the mantra for instate guys been "come be a hero"??? I think it's bama but I hope hes gonna be a cat!

That's the feel i get about this tweet...

Yeaaaah, might be reading a bit too much into this tweet, but I really don't like that. Not good.

It's the feel I got as well but the magnifying glass in the tweet is more cryptic. I think he knows what that sentence sounds like and knows everyone will read into it so he's having fun with it. So, I think it's suppose to start up the suspense. Either he just let the first clue out or he is stirring things up. Again though, I think he knew that tweet would be overly critiqued and that's why he did it. Just my opinion though.

Yeah I don't like that tweet either. Makes it sound like he's saying "someone else will come along".

I think you are not seeing the broader picture. Yes, one running back doesn't make an 85 man roster BUT when a state likes ours can only manufacture 1 or 2 five star players every couple of years you need to be able to keep them instate. Will it be the end of the world if he doesn't come like some on here think, no, but like with Marrow staying, it shows that we are becoming a factor in the college football and that something the SEC and other surrounding states are going to have to put up with in the near future.

Just have spent the last hour scanning Bama forums. Most have very little discussion about Damien........maybe a single thread, (however I can't read the premium forums).

One of their busier websites however, has a thread started by one of their insiders. Stangely, I could only see some of the posts on the thread, but the responses that I could see were pretty much welcoming Damien to Alabama.

Guess we will know for sure tomorrow, but I'm not at all optimistic about him wearing blue. Prove me wrong, Damien!!

This could very well be a negative rather than a positive...if you really want to read something into it. He'd be a Kentucky football hero but legends are known on a wider-scale as in NFL. Could be saying he's pursuing being a legend instead of just the local hero.

Thought I'd chime in since others already gave it a shot...if it really means anything other than just a neat statement.

Who knows, I thought it sounded better for Kentucky. He would be a legend to Kentucky fans for a long time if he started a tradition of success here. Where as he would be a hero at Bama if they won a championship or he got drafted there etc. Guess it depends on how you take it.

Maybe he's paraphrasing Sandlot - in which case he's saying he will follow his heart...

Probably the closest guess, if it had meaning to it at all.
Whatever it is, it isn't as thoroughly thought out as some people put it out to be. He didn't sit there for 45 minutes and say "hm, how may I give a riddle to the fan bases to give some kind of indication of where I'm going, a half a day before my announcement?"
If it had meaning, it was likely paraphrased from something, Sandlot being the best guess. It could just as easily mean nothing.
If you guys are struggling this much, go throw up, lay down, and go to sleep. We'll know in 12 hours
