Hypothetical

It would really depend on what teams like Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, southern Cal and Notre Dame do. In the unlikely event one or two of these teams these teams, go undefeated and another team have just one loss, it probably would be difficult as we just don’t have the name recognition that some of these other programs do. I would be happy to have a one lost team, and not get in the playoffs as that would indicate we’ve had one hell of a year.

Well, in OP’s scenario, we would beat Bama, so that would take them out of the conversation. If our only loss is to UGA in a hard fought game and they go undefeated, we would be the first 1 loss team in line imo.

Yes

Bama should have gotten In Last year with two

No way a one loss sec team that played Bama and UGA would be out. No way.

What if there are two SEC teams who’ve played both Bama and UGA and they each have one only loss?

LSU plays Bama, and if they were to win the west, LSU would likely play UGA in the SEC championship.

all 3 get in… is what it should be…

…But ok you found maybe possibly the one hypothetical scenario precluding this hypothetical scenario from happening. 😂

The preseason poll screws us because they top heavy the BiG. I could see that scenario play out and we lose out to Mich.
