You mean throwing 100 mph as a teenager isn't a good thing for your arm? This kid probably won't ever see the mound for the Reds.
Play him as a DH instead of sitting out the entire recovery time of TJS much like Shohei Ohtani is being used in LAA. Don't let him sit out this entire recovery time completely when other aspects of his game need developing. There is never a guarantee any player pans out anyway.

Greene underwent Tommy John surgery Tuesday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The procedure had been scheduled earlier in the month after Greene suffered a setback while recovering from an elbow strain. He won't get back to game action until the middle of the 2020 season.

Off topic, but kind of also on-topic... does anyone know what happened to the Hunter Green from Bowling Green? He was a UK commitment in a year where UK had 3 big time pitching prospects committed, and all three decided to go pro, Green was one of those. Drafted in the 2nd round of the 2013 draft by the Angels (59 overall). A stats page says he played rookie ball in 2013, but that is the only stats they have. Anyone know what happened?
Another guy in that same draft was Clinton Hollon... he went in the 2nd round to the Blue Jays with the 47th overall pick. He pitched a couple years it looks like in '13 and '15, but then nothing after that. He was from Versailles. Anyone know what happened to him?

I think Hollon was suspended a couple of times for testing positive for abusive drugs (Non PEDs). The last time was about 3 years ago.
Not sure about Green.
The last news I could find on Hollon was he was released in 2017 and has yet to sign with a team. It seems Hunter Green has fallen off the map. I couldn’t find anything.
Thanks guys. Those two (along with Trevor Clifton) always stand out to me because I was really excited about possibly getting one. Clifton is from my home town, and I know his sister. Haven't ever met him. He is in AAA now in the Cubs organization. So, I randomly get curious about the other two. haha
Trevor Clifton was the one I thought I would end up at UK. Glad to see he’s still playing.
I thought so too... according to his sister he was never too interested in school though.
