Hunter Dickinson about to go over 2800 points, top 20 all time

An interesting one for me is Jamal Mashburn Jr. 2,371 points in 5 seasons. And that’s with missing 15 games between this year and last year. Had he stayed healthy the past 2 years, he would have been top 30 all time in NCAA scoring. He finished at 136th all time, which is still insanely impressive (ahd a few spots ahead on Antonio Reeves) and under the radar for the son of a legend.

Imagine if Mashburn Sr. Played 5 years. Tayshaun Prince, John Wall, or Jamal Murray!!!

I just saw that stat. Dickinson has 2789 point so far, and is about to be one of the 20 highest scorers in college basketball history. I know he’s played for 12 years, but still, that’s amazing. When I think 2800 points, I’m thinking of Bird and Oscar…..

I can’t wait till that cheese dick has to go play in Azerbaijan. I only hope it’s not before he puts Cal out of his misery.

How did HD not end up at Duke? One of the biggest asshats in the history of asshats.
Hunter Dickinson actually grew up a Duke fan and begged for Duke to take him. Duke did offer but they prioritized Mark Williams (a higher rated 5 star) out of that class instead. Mark played 2 years in college, started for a Final 4 team, and was a lottery pick for the Hornets.

Duke had zero interest when Dickinson put his name in the transfer portal, for good reason.
