Humphries in mock draft

IH is extremely young.

Did you guys know that he is younger than Fox?

Month older than Monk.

He is almost year younger than Josh Jackson.

If IH is drafted in the 40s, I'll take up smoking crack.

I think he has about a 50/50 shot of playing in the NBA someday, but I don't expect him to get drafted.

If Hump makes the NBA, I will be shocked but thrilled for him. He is going to have to do some serious development which I have seen no signs so far

Oh when I mean make the NBA, I'm talking 10 day contracts, last dude on the bench. He'll never be a starter or real contributor, I think. Think a Josh Harrelson type career, maybe less. Multiple cups of coffee. And I really don't want to diminish that, that's a huge thing and you make a good amount of money.

I’m fine with Humphries going. UK is about to bring in perhaps 8 players in the top 75, with 6 of those being in the top 35 (possibly 7 if UK lands Bamba). UK is losing 8 guys off a team that just won 32 game, but still has a chance to make a Final Four next year. That's incredible.

I’m happy for Humphries and embraced his decision. Without a coach that supports moves like this, even if sometimes only as a secondary consideration (Cal has wanted numerous guys to return, including Humphries), UK doesn’t land 6 top 35 recruits, possibly 7. This is the secret in the sauce. We shouldn’t resent it because it’s precisely the same ingredient that makes the meal taste better than what the other guys are serving.

Amazing post .

17% of all 7 footers make the NBA so if you are 7' and have a pulse, you will have plenty of opportunities to make the NBA, especially if you can play halfway decent.

I doubt he gets drafted but would be happy to be wrong.I think he will play Aussie pro ball next season.

There is a 50/50 chance he gets drafted IMO as there aren't a ton of 7 footers with his skills in terms of shooting ect. I hope you like rock . LOL

In the 40s though? Really? With Bam currently out of the first round in the late 30s range? Just knowing what the NBA likes as far as body type and skill set, and STILL Bam is just around 10 spots better than Hump? Even when the type of C Hump is has a much more limited role in the NBA these days?

I just really don't see it. Maybe in the tail end of the 2nd, MAYBE. Also, Bam's slide is totally inexplicable. He didn't light the world on fire, but he did plenty more and has plenty more potential than a second rounder.

I can see a team draft and stashing him in the d-league or letting him go overseas till he's NBA ready. A 7 footer that can rebound and has his stroke has value.

Here is an outlandish, crazy thought. Stay in school and do all of those things to help you get ready at UK. After all, Cal has a pretty good track record with his bigs. Hump would have been a first rounder and potentially a national champion by his Sr. Year.

Those two scenarios are not mutually exclusive.

A team in the second round could pull a draft-and-stash. Reportedly some team was offering Marcus Lee to take a draft-and stash offer last year in the range of $600,000.

Everyone says this. Give an example not an opinion then?
Draft.net is crap. I haven't been to that site since 2012. At that time they wouldn't even update properly. You'd have the same players In the same spots no matter how well or how awful they were playing. Also the Staff at express does much better work on evaluation and such.

Fairly well known that .Net is garb. I'd just stick with the consensus on that one. We aren't hallucinating.
