Four-star defensive end James Hudson backed off of his longtime commitment to Kentucky in May, but he’s still considering the Wildcats.
Hudson — a 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect from Toledo, Ohio — announced Sunday that he has narrowed his focus to 10 schools. UK is on that list, along with Alabama, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Tennessee.
All of the schools on Hudson’s list have extended scholarship offers.
Rivals.com ranks Hudson as the No. 8 strongside defensive end and No. 229 overall prospect in the class of 2017. He and high school teammate Michael Warren — a four-star running back in the class of 2017 — committed to UK on the same day last July before backing out of those commitments a few weeks ago.
Warren announced last week that he is also still considering Kentucky, along with Louisville, Boston College, Iowa State, Rutgers and Toledo.
