The gators are young too : (from the UF press guide for this game)
• This year’s Gator team is comprised of 54 freshmen, 25 sophomores, 22 juniors and 14 seniors. When fall camp started,
Florida only had six seniors on scholarship, marking the fewest on a UF squad since 1951.
• Through two games, UF has played 10 true freshmen and 12 redshirt freshmen. In the season opener against NMSU, 25 of
the 63 players (39.6%) that saw action were newcomers to the program.
Gonna be a young blood battle.
We simply didn't have the talent to do so. I don't want to bash the kids that played here but they simply didn't belong in the SEC and I'll leave it at that.Muschamp is the Gillispe of UF football. Why we didn't beat UF during that period is a mystery. Today is UK Day in UF football history.

SECcat's point is true to a certain extent. There have been years when we were close, but Florida's winning streak has been built on a large overall talent advantage and some timely luck on their part. Where I disagree with SECcat is his insinuation that previous Kentucky players didn't even belong in the SEC. That was certainly not true of a whole lot of Wildcats who never beat Florida, Williams, Couch, Yeast, Lorenzen, Pinner, Woodson, Tamme, Jarmon, Burton, Johnson, Woodyard, Trevathan, Pryor, Peters, Lindley, Cobb, Dupree, on and on and on. But I doubt he was talking about every Wildcat.False. UK had UF beat in the swamp last yr until the refs stepped in and ignored a delay call on 4th down
