....the guy's obvious agenda shows up in almost every interview. What an absolute DOUCHE. (see below)

Isaiah Briscoe was one of the players who addressed reporters during today’s media opportunity, and when faced with a classic Jerry Tipton question, he had the perfect response. Tipton asked Briscoe how it felt to “be the lesser” guard in Kentucky’s backcourt while Jamal Murray and Tyler Ulis put up such big numbers.
Jerry: “Jamal and Tyler are putting up big, big numbers. You’re playing well, but your numbers are not–”

Isaiah: “Well, I’m not, I’m not–”

Jerry: “How does it feel to be the lesser of the three lights?

Isaiah: “I don’t look at it like that. I think I contribute everywhere on the court. If I’ve got to score, if I’ve got to rebound, play defense — I just do everything. Like I said, Tyler and Jamal have been shooting the lights out of the ball and my assists have been going up, so I ain’t mad at that. I enjoy seeing my teammates shine. I think they deserve it, they work hard, so other than that, I’m just happy to be a part of what they’re doing.”

.....he couldn't possibly be a UK grad, could he? I honestly don't know. Maybe he just gets off on being a jackass.

...well then Jerry goes above and beyond as far as pandering to the boss is concerned.

He should have said the same way you feel being the arse clown on a third rate fish wrapper. What a tool.

We should rent him out as a decoy for dungbeetle hunters.

It's like a question from the biggest ass in a Ricky Gervais comedy. Except it isn't fiction, is it? He really went there. Amazing.

Its a huge mistake to think that Tipton understands defense or anything else that Briscoe might have been saying. Bit like asking a pudgy bald beagle to interview a rocket scientist.

Come to think about it, its probably a mistake to presume its house broken.

Now that I think of it, there are specific objections. First, the question is framed in the form of an insult? Second, the question injects the reporter's conclusion into the premise of the question. It would be like asking a reporter, "How does it feel to be reduced to asking pot-stirring, gossip-column questions?

Tipton deserves an good old fashioned ass whippin'.

Absolutely, that's the real problem here. Why on Earth did Jerry choose to phrase it the way he did? He's been interviewing people for decades, he knows dam well what he's doing. Briscoe is a freshman in college, and I find Jerry's question to be really offensive and inappropriate. And totally unprofessional, as usual for Tipton.

He is trying to sow discord no other way to look at it, it is difficult to understand why.

Kudos to Briscoe for handling that as well as he did.

Tipton should lose his job for taking that shot. Incredibly unprofessional, very thoughtless. Teams have roles, not that Tipton would know anything about that.

I would give just about anything for Briscoe to have said "I don't know Jerry. How does it feel being the lesser reporter in here right now"? Haha. But I know these guys are groomed to not say those things to the media.

Seriously, if I said what I am thinking right now after reading that, RR would probably ban me. So, I will just sit here and think it....
you and me both, brother -
I can't believe Tipton had the nerve to go that direction.
Wait, it's Tipton, nevermind

Tipton is a jealous and hateful old man. He knows that Briscoe will make a whole lot more money. Briscoe was the bigger man, Tipton that is an insult he really made you look STUPID!

I just listened to the interview. Tipton thinks he is some big-time investigative journalist. He seems to think he's being really hard-hitting by asking questions like that. But who the hell asks that question to a 19-year-old kid. What a jerk. That isn't the place for a question like that. It isn't hard-hitting and there isn't anything sophisticated about his line of questioning. He's just a jerk. I wish they would just ban him from the press room.

My favorite response to him had to be Willie saying "Oh, Jerry…" (read "You dumb @$$…") last year during a pre-game interview.

Would be funny if next press conference Cal tells the reporters that he will answer questions once Tipton leaves. The other reporters will not get anything to write for their papers/online site so they would pressure him into leaving. That would be gold.

Yep. I thought for sure that would be it for tipton. Alas, here we are 4 years later.

Put this latest jackass nonsense in with the MKG stuff, and let's not forget starting the rumor that Marcus Lee was gonna transfer, and it's a wonder this guy still has access to players.

The biggest takeaway for me is how eloquently and graciously Briscoe responded. We all know what a no talent ass clown JT is...that's old news (pun intended). But I'm extremely impressed with how articulate and insightful Isaiah was here. Hats off to the young man.

Completely, utterly uncalled for by that idiot. You cross the line when you ask a teenage a baiting question like that. Briscoe showed maturity way beyond his years and answered the jackass with a class response. Even though I really liked Briscoe before, he truly gave a glimpse of what an outstanding young man he is. As far as Tipton, I shall refrain from giving my true opinion as I don't want to be banned.

Wasn't that ass hat banned from interviewing MKG for similar ass hattery?
Why UK doesn't pull his press pass and ban his sorry ass is beyond me,why people around Lexington don't kick him to the curb every time they see him out is beyond me as well. That's why I'll never buy or read a thing from LHL until they clean the scum out of it,wouldn't even wipe my rearend with a LHL sports page

I hope Cal comes down extremely hard on him for this.

UK fans need to rise up and let the LHL know they are cancelling until Tipton is fired, Wait, no one reads newspapers anymore do they?

I'd be shocked if Tipton didn't have to go places out in public in disguise.

Kudos to Briscoe for handling that as well as he did.

He should, at a minimum, lose his access privileges to the UK facilities and players. He is total trash and I wouldn't use a piece of the LHL paper for a pet to crap on. Go Cats!!
