How many remembers your 1st post on here, & what was it about ?

My 1st one was in Dec. 2012. If I recall correctly it was a thread saying that SEC basketball was better than Big East basketball. The reason I started that thread was the fact that I was sick of UL fans talking about how great their conference ( Big East ) was, & how weak the SEC was. So I hit them with the fact that the SEC had been far more successful in NCAA tournament play over the past 20 years than the Big East had.
Facts such as

1993-2012 SEC Big East
Final Fours 14 9
NCAA Championships 6 4

Not sure exactly when or where, but I first started posting here under my old name when Patterson and Lucas were being recruited by BCG. Good times, good times

I don't remember my most recent post. Um. Which is this one I guess. I forgot.

It was 2005 my first screen name was You can't spell Duke without UK, and it was about how other college teams also hate Duke.

Nice question. I don't have a clue what mine was. But I do know I read without having an account for nearly three years, then made an account, then waited nearly another whole year before I actually got brave enough to post.

Many wish I'd waited longer :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I think I was wanting Shagari and Woo to gain weight up to 300 pounds so we could have 2 Shaq size players sub in for one another. That was some fun times on this board.

Not sure but it was bad. My first and probably next ten threads never got a response....I started only posting after that. Kind of still the same....at least I am consistent.

Came around during Tubbys last year but don't think I posted until BCG was hired. I'm sure it was in excitement and promise of the new regime.

I expressed concerns regarding Tubby Smith, most notably his recruiting or lack thereof. Tubby love was still high at that point and I took a pounding. Those are still some of the worst names I have ever been called. No worries though, I feel completely vindicated.

My VERY FIRST post was on Rainman's Board (name escapes me).

For the longest time, I was a reader only, but one day I had legit inside recruiting info that came from Wake Forest's AD (my personal friend). And I got blasted for being a Troll who made it up.

I didn't post again for a couple of years.

Honestly, no idea. I bought my first PC in '95, and one of the first things I sought out was info on UK basketball. I found one of the predecessor's to this board, and here I am today. As to what the topic of my first post was let's just say I'm old. I'd guess it to be an introductory one.

My first was posting about inside info I had from a source that Patterson was staying and Meeks was leaving. got bashed relentlessly. You know, 1st post stuff, troll this and that. After revealing my source as a beautiful coed that PPat was very friendly with, I was reprimanded by someone and some of my info deleted. Guess I broke a rule or something. I knew I was right, as I was actually the coeds employer and heard it directly from her. And, considering Pat was around often, I believed her. Fun stuff.

Thinking it was around 1998, there was WildcatFaithful and one or two others. A year later BBN joined the airways. Back then its was so new and fun, I probably posted, "how about those Cats?"

I read this stuff for at least a couple years before joining and didn't post for several months. All I remember about my first post was that I didn't get a bad response. I wish I could bring more to the table because I appreciate the news and opinions others bring. And the laughs. And the pics. I hope to start a decent thread someday. Thought it would be easier.

--I posted many moons ago that there would be posters emerge by the names of ulismyman and smooth as butter that would bring death to this board with their atrocious posting. Now you see what is happening

Agree with 92, good question! I lurked for years and think my first post was about why I was optimistic about the 2006 football team.

My first post was after Midnight Madness 2003. Some posters were hyping our 7 footers and others were saying that they were not that good. I didn't see MM, but made a comment that at least some of the posters were trying to be optimistic!

That was when I learned the expression that would be be used often during the Tubby years: "You can't teach 7 feet."

No. Is there a way to find one's first post? I'd be interested in seeing it. However, I'm fairly sure I was on here before the listed date of Dec 12, 2007. Back in those days, I was using a PC and frequently had to get a new computer or start over, including registering anew.

I believe my first post was in a thread about whether we'd get Darius Rice or Darius Miles. I think I said we'd get both. I was 16 and had way too much faith in Tubby Smith.

My username at the time was (I'm not making this up) bratwurstsalad.

I just posted my first one!!! It was about me lol!! I love this board as I have been luring for years! Need a kidney transplant and waiting for9!! Go Cats!!!

I joined some version of this group around 1996. I am still more lurker than poster. Just don't have the time. I'm not sure I remember any post, let alone my first one. I guess I would if I'd done one of those "Long time lurker, first time poster" announcements. I'm sorry, I just don't get those that announce their first post.
