How is each teams SEC schedule determined? Back in the day we played each east team twice and each west team once. Now that we no longer have East/West in Basketball I have no idea as to how they determine which teams we get twice and which ones we don't.

I was wondering the same thing today.

Anybody know? Are we on a rotation that changes year to year?

You play 1 protected rival twice every year (FL), and then you play 4 teams twice each year on a 3 year rotation.

So that is 2 games against protected rival + 8 against the 4 teams for 10 total. That is 5/13 opponents. You then play the other 8 teams once. On the years you do not play a team twice, one of the two years you play at Rupp, the other you play at their place.

I've heard they are changing the schedule again so that we have THREE protected rivals soon. Could it be next year?

Back in the day when there were 10 SEC teams we played every team twice; then Arkansas and South Carolina was added.

This whole thing is just "who knows who," and then over here you have favoritism -- and Cal knows someone at the agency.
