How did you decide on your username?

I've read this sight for years and only recently decided to create a username so that I could throw my 2 cents in here and there. Diallo was the talk of the town (and did you know he has like the 2nd highest vertical in the combine....ever?!) so I wanted to create one that was relevant to the time that I started posting.

Since there isn't a lot basketball wise to talk about right now, I figured I'd try and find out how some of you decided on your name...

Big Blue UK...BBUK

Years ago (20+) one summer around the 4th the kids called me big red (for a totally different reason.).....sigh...

Mine has a simple explanation. I was a misplaced UK fan living in Oregon at the time all these boards were created. Thus, the name ORCAT. Nothing too brilliant of outrageous, just kinda made sense at the time. I now live in Lexington and am so happy to be back in the Bluegrass but kept the same user name for all these years. I did have an earlier user name before that which was PacificBlue, again for living on the West Coast but being a UK fan. Also, the TV show, Pacific Blue was popular at that time.

After trying a few different names and discovering they were taken, I tried this one and lo and behold it worked.

Just a simple play on armchair quarterback.
I watch the game at a pretty basic level like a lot of fans but I still find myself questioning coaching decisions, etc all the time.

Mine was a typo a friend of mine made a long time ago spelling my name. I've used it ever since.

Easy to figure how I chose mine. I had just ukcat for years but at some point we had to resign up when site changed name or ownership and never could get ukcat again so added the _ to it.

Back in the mid 90s the first discussion board I started reading was Clark Francis' Hoop Scoop. It was a national board mixed with fans of every program. I noticed that most screen names were some combination of team and where the poster was from. I did same. Kept the name when I found Steve John's Wildcat Chat, and still have it.

Somebody posted something I didn't agree with while I was lurking in the shadows, and I had to tell them how wrong they were.

In my rush to make a username, it wasn't very original. The numbers were the numbers at the end of my college e-mail.

I moved to Florida from Lexington at 23, the number 22 was in honoring of my favorite baseball player Will Clark.
