My belief is this will be the most critical game to our having a really successful season. If we win this game, I believe we will begin the '15 season like we did in '14. The last half of this season is not power-laden like last years season.

What makes it critical, to use your word, is that we must show improvement. If we lose by a lot, then we will probably lose the Florida and Missouri game too. That would put us in a bad spot.

Not very. I expected it to be a loss and I still expected UK to make a bowl game. That being said, a win would be a nice insurance policy in case UK falls to Florida...yet again.

Florida at home is critical. If we can't beat them this year, then why think we ever will?

Florida game is the one i think is by far the most important. I do believe we can win at South Carolina but you have to remember that this is an away game and South Carolina is over a touchdown favorite.

Very critical. I'm ready to bounce ahead of that egotistical punk spurrier and south Carolina.

This game will probably determine if we can get to six wins since it is one of the winnable ones

No it won't. UK still has FL, Missouri, @MSU, and UL left to get to 6 wins (assuming you think we win the 2 easy OOC games and Vandy).

This game is important to get better, but it is going to be a tough game on the road against a team that will play a lot better than they did against UNC. On that note, UK will play better than they did against ULL for 60 minutes, but it will be a close game and who knows who pulls it out in the 4th.

I'd mark down any of the next 2 games as important. Win neither and there goes the bowl chances, win 1 and I'll be happily optimistic, win both and it's bowling time.

Can't agree with you on the absolute must of winning one of the next two. It is critical that we win all 4 OOC, Vandy and one other. I still believe Missouri is most likely to be the pigeon.

This game is rated by the Cat's Pause preview mag as the 5th toughest game on the schedule. I'd rate it 4th, because I think beating S. Carolina on the road is going to be harder than beating Missouri at home, and actually it is arguably harder than beating Tennessee at home. This is a critical game if we are harboring any pretensions of going to Atlanta or to a New Years bowl in Florida, but it is not "win or bust" in terms of going to a bowl game; Saturday's game was, though. We can lose this game and still win 7 games. That said, if we get blown off the field, it's not exactly a sign of good things to come.

Extremely serious because it is the next one and the only one that matters right now

It's critical in that this defense needs to show they can stop people. I have a feeling what we saw against ULL is who we are but hopefully Elliot can regroup and show he has some answers.

It's also critical for Towles to show last games inconsistency was not who he really is. The cats don't have to win but they need improve a lot in some critical areas.

Wrong. The South Carolina game is the difference between a good season and a great season. Kentucky has not won a road game since 2010, so it's nuts to say the South Carolina game is critical. Kentucky can realistically lose the South Carolina game and still go to a bowl. The critical games this year are Florida, Missouri, Vandy, and Louisville.

Seems like a lot of posters are just looking for any way possible to win 6 games and get to a bowl. I hope Stoops and the players don't feel that way. That's why this game is VERY important. SC doesn't appear to be a world beater this year and our guys should be chomping at the bit to show that we're the 'real deal' and we don't even want to hear the words 'moral victory' anymore. Sure we can still have a good season if we don't win this game but the days of conceding losses to teams like SC should be long gone. Grasping at straws to be average is unacceptable.

It's critical in our hopes of making the playoffs. Obviously that sounds crazy but big time programs think that way and you can't be a big time program if you don't think like a big time program. I'm betting Stoops thinks the game is pretty damn critical.

Now in a more realistic sense, the critical thing is that the guys prove to themselves that they can at least hang in the SEC after giving up way too many points to a mid-major. Even in a loss, a solid showing on the road (such as in the swamp last year) would still give them a lot of confidence going forward.

I've said from early on that our 2nd, 3rd and 4th games were the most critical to make or break our season from being a major success. Need to go 2-1 against SC, UF and Mizzo in order to take the pressure of 6 wins off our guys. That would put us at 3-1 with EKU on deck for our 4th win and Charlotte and Vandy in two of our last three games. That would be 6 guaranteed and anything else is icing on the cake.

Go 0-3 against these upcoming and I do not think we make a bowl...period. If we can't beat these three opponents then we have no hope against any other SEC team besides Vandy.

This is realistically he best summarystatement of how important it is for UK to do in next 2 games...we have to get 1 win out of the pair...if we go 0-2....we're just not likely to get to a bowl again which is the minimum standard to call 2015 a success.

If we can get a win vs. USC ro UF...how likely is it we get 3 wins out of UL, Mizzou, Miss St?

if you step back and look at the next three game as a group vs game by game, id say as long as we win at least 1 of those 3 we are in good shape going into the rest of the season. we would have to beat louisville then to make 6 wins (assuming we beat vandy and the other OOC games) but we need to beat them anyways IMO to prove we have turned the corner.

I really just hope we don't come out flat. Ideally would like to have Flannigan in to help with the edge running (especially P. Cooper's Wildcat) since we looked terrible with it Saturday. I just want it to be a competitive game and keep it close because we showed we can score fast.

I didn't know anyone was still harboring delusions of grandeur. 6 and a bowl.

It's pretty important. If we can compete and make it a close game then the season will have a more optimistic outlook. Just don't want to get blown out.

If we are thinking of 6+ wins we have to have a win one against UF or USC. Win both and we are looking at a special season potentially.

It is equally important as the UF game. This would be our first SEC road win I'm some time. With Florida you have "the streak" Both are winnable.

I think we have to win 2 of the next 3 to hope for bowl eligible. Hopefully we can pull it off. If Missouri can win the east, why not us.

We need to win at least one of the next two games if we want to boost our chances for the post season. We would have to rely on a win against Missouri if we squander the first two opportunities, that likely won't happen considering they've owned us the last few years.

UK can lose both SC and FL and still win 6. You just sub Missouri for FL (in my prediction's case), and then still beat Vandy, EKU, Charlotte and UL...not a tough schedule at all.

Yeah neither USC or UF is REQUIRED to go bowling...but you've got to start winning somewhere. I like the odds of winning either of those games better than the odds of beating Mizzou...their rotation of QBs seemed to work well and their lines appear stout enough. Hansbrough being out is a big loss for them in the run game, but I'm sure he will be back in time to play UK.

It is a critical game for both teams for different reasons. SC cannot afford to lose home games other than Aub this year with aTm, UT, UGA and Mizz road games. UK needs to win some SEC road games eventually to take the next step in Stoops' regime. Both teams have higher aspirations than 6-7 wins even if some fans do not. SC had won 11 games three years in a row until last season and wants to get back there. I am sure they KY team wants the same.

Very important. Need to see evidence of improvement. More importantly, this team needs to see proof that they can play with anybody. A win on the road in a hostile environment would do wonders for their confidence and could be the shot in the arm they need.

To me, it's not critical that we get a win at South Carolina, but it is critical that we pick up at least one of the next three if we have any hopes for a bowl this season.

I do fully expect to see a more buttoned up performance on Saturday though. We are a touchdown dog right now, that seems about right to me.
