How bad are we behind in NIL?

I've heard we are greatly behind and playing catchup. I've also heard NIL is damn near non-existent with the program. Only outsiders with small collectives are dishing in. Either way this yrs recruiting class so far tells me we are behind in some way.
What do we need to do to get it right?
Because if we do not, UK will be destined for the bottom 3rd of the SEC.

NIL or no NIL would you wanna play for this shit show? You have a coach who has probably the best offensive talent in UK history and refuses to resemble anything that even comes close to being mentioned as offensive football. If the coach did want to play offense we don’t have a OC capable anyways.

We have been behind alabama, Georgia, Florida, tn, auburn, lsu and with NIL it's probably only going to get worse. Throw in Texas, Oklahoma and a and m for good measure.

If the coach did want to play offense we don’t have a OC capable anyways.

Been a long time fan personally. Nothing of which i said is wrong.
we do in fact probably have the best roster top to bottom atleast in my life time , we also play the most slow/ boring football you’ve ever seen 100% on purpose even when trailing late in games. We want to run the clock out every game as fast as possible, scoring and winning are optional.

Only on the Oline was the roster better

The WR last year was Wandale and Josh Ali and one of those were super average at best. There is a reason Wandale broke records he was the only one that was a true SEC WR on the whole team.

and there is absolutely no reason for the line to go from all world to litterally the worst in a year. Sure a drop off was expected but from top to the bottom in a year is crazy. But yep there’s no problem with the coaching or the scheme that lets a top line in the nation fall away to nothing.

Which shows the value of the ol. Last year we did way more on O with much less in the skill positions and a weak defense

I gave Wandale his due that is one of my favorite cats ever. But fact remains he was pretty much the only WR on KYS team that was SEC level, thus why we force fed Wandale a lot but he was good enough to carry our WRs and Will Levis a lot, but we had somewhat of a decent line.

I disagree. Ali was much better than he gets credit for. Brown has been good on special teams but not do much on offense. Which is not all on him.

Overall top to bottom we have more talent than ever. Sure the line was better last year had future long time NFL players on it. A drop off was expected.

but the drop off should’ve never been close to as dramatic as it has been and if it’s this bad it’s coaching, if nothing else because we didn’t even attempt to shore up the OL in the portal, we called the steen kid and then when he went to Bama we said oh well.

Splitting hairs but I feel like Tayvion hasn't showed us anything that Ali didn't. Still waiting on him to make an impact in a game that matters.

I would be interested in hearing how far behind we are in NIL, as the original post asked. Can anyone address that w/out hi-jacking the thread for another argument? And, yes, I mean you, Ed.

Current class is ranked #45 I think nationally. That isn't going to get it done in the SEC. For UK to be successful we need to be top 20-25 minimum every year for several years.
It's time someone with the balls and connections stand up and say "Fvck You!" to Barnhart and get this thing rolling. As I've said before, there's no virtue in being the only program not cheating. If ANYONE thinks the NCAA has the ability or desire to come down hard on TAMU, Tennessee, LSU, etc. etc. over NIL then you can kiss my ass.
