Hopefully the Tennessee game was an anomaly

Just a different team on the road, but still a lot of games left..only the NCAAT matters

The Cats have played pretty well the last 4 out of 5 games.

Some teams need to get gut-punched to get better. Some teams get gut-punched because they're just the type of teams that get gut-punched. The last 4 road games will give us a pretty good idea of which this team is (maybe). 10-11 couldn't do squat on the road, and couldn't win any close games. Then they suddenly turned a corner. 13-14 looked like a flop of a team until the SEC Tourney (which is why I added the previous "maybe").

It was and that's why I still have a lot of faith in what this team can accomplish. We just hit a wall after going up by 21. Second road game in 2 days after a heartbreaking loss at ku . The refs played a big role as well.

It would be possible if not for auburn game

I'm talking about the fact that UK (outside of the Tennessee game) have played well since the Auburn game. Took a very good Kansas team to the wire and destroyed a few other teams. I hope this means we are getting better. We will see.

Maybe, but losing to both AU and UT are killers for our SEC chances and kills us NCAA Tourney seed wise.

I think we're all hopeful that is true. There are several losses that are hard to explain. In fact, nearly all our losses are hard to explain, except for at Kansas. I'm not sure it's road versus home, either. We've had some good road wins, like at Alabama and at Arkansas. I think it's a mental thing. Of course it doesn't help that everyone plays like it's the national title against UK, especially for this particular team. But I will say this... when this team is focused and playing well, they can beat anyone in the country this season. That's the best news. The flip side is that they could lose to just about anyone if they're not right.

The problem is that we are a team that leans very heavily on the jumper for points and we have no one that consistently protects the rim. This makes us prone to long stretches without points (when the jump shooters get cold) and stretches where we can't stop the opponent from scoring in the paint. Thus, we dart out to big leads only to have multiple empty trips and teams like Florida manage rip off ten straight points.

This is who we are. If we win the whole thing, we're going to have to do outshoot people. Say a prayer for Murray, Ulis, and Willis.

I have a remedy for our points in the paint....put Derek down low at times...dont make him just a jump shooter...too good of a free throw shooter not to post up some

Like most of you said, we're a completely different team on the road. The NCAA Tourney committee doesn't like that, which is why we didn't make it in 2013. So we have to win at SC or TAMU to be a lock, IMO.

The committee specifically said it was because Noel was injured or UK would have been in. They do need to win at least five more games to be a lock, four should get them in.

As a public service to the LilBrothel fans lurking here....this threads title has nothing to do with looking through a telescope at stars. Anomaly means "not the norm."

I cant believe you guys even question wether we are in??? Mindbogglin...unless you think we lose out..well yea then maybe

Don't really know what it was, they(UT) play pretty good at home but are not a good team. The Auburn game is worse they aren't as good as UT The players should be embarrassed for losing to those teams because of the way the games played out.We should not have given up the leads we had in either game
